This sounds like an intimidation technique to me.

      • I don't know who will win the FF matchup. But I will gladly give up the FF win for a Packers' Win. I hope Jennings has a great game, because the Packers' offense needs a kick in the butt.

And just who is the best team in the NFL after 3 games? Texans? 49ers? Cardinals? Falcons? Another Team?

        Preview: Packers at Seahawks
By Bob McGinn of the Journal Sentinel
        Sept. 23, 2012
When: 7:30 p.m. Monday. Where: CenturyLink Field. TV: Ch. 12, ESPN. Radio: AM-620.

Series: Packers lead, 10-5. Line: Packers by 3½. Weather: 66, sunny. Surface: FieldTurf.

        Coaches: Green Bay's Mike McCarthy (69-37, .651) vs. Seattle's Pete Carroll (50-53, .485).

        FIVE THINGS TO WATCH
GANG TACKLE: After sitting out Game 6 last season with a back injury, Seattle RB Marshawn Lynch returned in Game 7 to carry 16 times for a paltry 24 yards in a 6-3 loss to Cincinnati. In the 11 games since then, Lynch has averaged 23.5 carries and 104.4 yards, and scored 10 touchdowns. His average per carry in that span is 4.45. "He runs every freakin' down like it's his last down," an executive in personnel said. "Like he's going for a first down to clinch the game. That's how he plays." Lynch was playing for Buffalo in September 2010 when the Bills were beaten at Lambeau Field, 34-7. He carried 17 times for 64 yards in his only appearance against Green Bay. "It's very seldom that just one guy can tackle him," the scout said. "You pretty much have to pursue like hell and get a bunch of people there. The byproduct of that is he is susceptible to fumbling because he does go so hard. He might get you a 40-yard run, but eventually the DBs and fast linebackers would catch him. With Marshawn, it will be pound, pound, pound, all day long. Even when you're thinking you're tagging on him, he's tagging on you. Just physical every stinkin' time."

KEY COG: DE Red Bryant, the Seahawks' fourth-round draft choice in 2008 from Texas A&M, battled injuries and ineffectiveness before moving into the lineup in '10. In 35 games (26 starts), Bryant has just 71 tackles and two sacks. In March, on the eve of unrestricted free agency, management kept Bryant off the market with a five-year, $35 million contract that contained a $5M signing bonus and $14.5M in guarantees. "They like him as a massive run stopper," one scout said. "This cat is country strong. He's relentless. He's passionate. He just plays hard all the time. Fun to watch. You wouldn't list him with the great defensive ends and say this guy is a great pass rusher or a great run stopper, but he brings the emotion and enthusiasm on every play. He just seems to enjoy himself out there."

BEEFY FRONT: The most talented members of the Seattle offensive line are LT Russell Okung and C Max Unger. The other starters fit the desired profile of line coach Tom Cable: big, tough and not very athletic. LG Paul McQuistan is with his fourth team, RT Breno Giacomini was cut by the Packers and, at right guard, former Badger John Moffitt and rookie J.R. Sweezy, who made the conversion from defensive line this year, split time. "Cable just wants a bunch of tough guys up there who will try to punch you in the mouth," one scout said. "Sometimes you compromise the athleticism or mobility because you'd rather have size and toughness. McQuistan is big and tough. Giacomini is just big and tough. An athletic edge guy will give him fits. Moffitt's more of a run blocker. He will struggle a little bit in pass protection just because he's not light on his feet. Sweezy struggled the first week against Arizona because they blitzed so much. He got exposed as far as knowledge and mobility. Moffitt would have struggled the same way."

SUPER SAFETIES: Massive SS Kam Chancellor and FS Earl Thomas, a Pro Bowl starter in his second season, give Seattle a prized pair of third-year safeties. "I'd take Chancellor," one scout said. "Every tackle that he makes, he's looking to annihilate someone. Got great size. He is smart and has good football sense. Not necessarily the quickest, but once he gets going he's got pretty good range. . . . Thomas is just 100 mph all the time. Good, solid tackler. He tries to finish with a physical presence. He is kind of a feast or famine guy. If he sees it he will go to it regardless of his responsibility. He will do some guessing. He may even make a play on the other side of the field but his responsibility might be some place else."

ON THE CORNER: Cornerbacks Brandon Browner and Richard Sherman both stand about 6-3 and are best playing bump and run. Against traditional routes, they can be hard to beat because of their long arms and ability to recover. "Even when receivers run by Browner on a fade and they think they got him by two yards, at the moment of truth he will close better than most corners and cover a lot of ground," one scout said. "Sherman can turn and run with just about everybody." The best way to attack them is with double moves. "As long-legged guys they have a difficult time planting and gathering and re-starting," the scout said. "If you run hitch-and-go's or out-and-up's, that's how you would beat them. Most people just seem to run a post or a fade or a go, and that plays into what they do best. They're slightly above average at what they do because of size."

        • It seems to me that if the Pack wins you win. LOL

Some interesting games yesterday. Ravens-Patriots the only one I actually got to watch.

Who would really expect the Saints to be 0-3 at this point even with no coach?

Texans, Cards & Falcons are only ones that are now 3-0. I'm not sure if that qualifies them as the best in the NFL.

Giants are down 4 starters but made the Carolina game look easy, to the relief of their avid fans who were needing a break from the nail biters that go late into the 4th quarter.

The league fee was $149 so it should be $15 each. I tried to pay using the address on league home page and Paypal said 'This recipient is currently unable to receive money.'

$15 does not cover the pool for the winner. We have always paid $40
Funny Mat Stafford had his best game against me

                            • It is very difficult to lose when your QB puts up 34.3 points, your RB 22.8 and your DST 16 but I have found a way to do it 4 of the last 5 weeks.

Who the heck is this Mojoriser person that kicked my butt this week?
