Glad I quit football in high school with just a scar or 2. I can almost tell a college or pro former player by the way they walk. Talked one grandson out of playing---one to go.

Footballs a great sport for a kid, i played up till high school, but wasn't good enough or big enough to play in college, not only does it teach you confidence and builds strength, but it teaches you team spirit and how to depend on your fellow man, the quarter back is nothing without his line, the line is nothing without the receiver, etc....

I've been trying to sign my daughter up for every sports team i can find over the last 6yrs....everyone of them is a great experience for them and something they will remember and grow from in a different way

I help put on a Hall of Fame Celebrity golf tournament every year, so I know what you are saying. One year Conrad Dobler played. Both of his knees are pure scar tissue, and opened up during the round. He won a Closest to the Pin and he accepted that prize with both his calves covered in blood and his white socks red.

Even some of the famous scat backs are hobbled.

I played until the Peter Principle set in. After that I was on the staff at Moo U, with notable football legends. I got the thrill, partial scholarship, good eats, and an intact body.

Today I am 4 pounds heavier than my playing weight, but that winter fat will be gone shortly.
