I'm not that interested if the U.S., Eire or England aren't playing.

If I had to pick today, it would be Italia ! Nothing political against France's recent antics (remember Italy had Mussolini in WWII where US GIs were killed), it's just that I know more Italians than Frenchfolk.

I thought it was disgusting the way the Italian player smacked Zidane's head with his chest and got him sent off

Overall though I thought the match just fizzled out after the first half. Although I don't particularly like either team I would have preferred France to win after the very dubious penalty Italy were given in the dying seconds of the match against Australia.

Would be better if there was a best out of three games played or something besides one single game to determine the winner.
