We were backing Italy.
I actually think that it was a pretty good game. I think that the refs made them selves too noticeable during the whole tournament but that is FIFI's falult.
I also think that Italy deserved to win as their defense is among the best. Don't like PK's much but the game has to end sometime.

I am still recuperating from yesterday but I have to say that around here it was crazy. You had to see all the cars passing by with there giant Italian flags hanging out and beeping there horns. They had to close some of the streets and parks by me.
I had a very large old blow horn that we were all tooting as well as the fireworks being shot off. Someone on the block had a giant projection TV playing on the outside of there house. You had to see that. I heard someone say as they were passing by. Look at those two guys up there , they waited 4 years for this and it looks like they over celebrated. Can you picture two guys completely passed out with wine bottle in hand.

That sounds like it was lots of fun..... I was in East Hampton, not exactly an Italian community. It was quiet, although my friends did have a TV set up on their deck. The guys were watching the game. The girls all went to the beach. We did celebrate a little when we got back.

I had to leave the party early, and come home. My dog got sick.....

She's doing OK this morning.

In the still shot I saw of Materazzi going down, it looked like he was smilling/laughing. If he did get "psyched" it ranks right up there with great batter/catcher repartee in the movies "Brewster's Millions" and "Bull Durham".
