"The high-tech visuals enhanced the storytelling, but as suspended snowflakes gathered and expanded into the shape of the interlocked Olympic rings, one stubborn snowflake refused to blossom, leaving four rings and an asterisk. For Russian television viewers, however, the snowflake malfunction stayed under wraps: Organizers said they substituted footage from a rehearsal that showed all five rings in working order."

Hummmm. Very sad to have media that refuses to deal with anything that might be considered a negative by the government.
