Me say something? Are you crazy?
Like it says, I'm a dick, not a moron.

Midwesterners are very nice people. I'm sensing that tonight could be one of the Royals' courtesy games, like they gave to Toronto.RCI Member Since 24-Aug-1989/150-plus Exchanges***THE TIMESHARE GRIM REAPER~~~Exchanging/Searching/SW Florida/MO/AR/IA/Consumer Advocacy/Estate Planning/Sports/Boating/Fishing/Golf/Lake-living/Retirement****Sometimes ya just gotta be a dick

Oops.
Royals win a World Series game and the Cyclones shutout Texas on the same day.
There is hope.RCI Member Since 24-Aug-1989/150-plus Exchanges***THE TIMESHARE GRIM REAPER~~~Exchanging/Searching/SW Florida/MO/AR/IA/Consumer Advocacy/Estate Planning/Sports/Boating/Fishing/Golf/Lake-living/Retirement****Sometimes ya just gotta be a dick

I see that Iowa State and Texas were both unranked- looks like Moo U has a better team than usual and Texas is looking at a record bad year.

Congratulations to the Royals. They are a very good aggressive small ball team that keeps coming at you. Not very many teams would risk going home on an infield hit with 2 out but that is how the Royals play. Actually there wasn't a lot of risk because if the runner was out they would have lost game 5 but they would still be up 3 - 2 and going back to KC.
In any event is was a job well done by the Royals and they definitely deserve to be the WS champs.John

The Bluejays were tough and the Mets were tough. Any game could have gone either way.
The Royals are not without their faults. But, if they could start every game in the 7th, they would probably go undefeated.
This year is just their next year every team talks about.RCI Member Since 24-Aug-1989/150-plus Exchanges***THE TIMESHARE GRIM REAPER~~~Exchanging/Searching/SW Florida/MO/AR/IA/Consumer Advocacy/Estate Planning/Sports/Boating/Fishing/Golf/Lake-living/Retirement****Sometimes ya just gotta be a dick

KC is a phenomenal team! It would be interesting to bring back some of the other great teams from the past and see how they would play.
The Mets managed to bring out the best of KC, and the Mets gave it the best shot.
to the Royals. Must be nice to be a resident of Kansas City.Flying at MACH4 +

With the strong following the Cards have in the region, the Royals have always played second fiddle. It would take a long time of being successful for the Royals to overcome that. We were in KC during their success in the 80s, went to a lot of games, and happened to live where a lot of the players lived. Most of them back then were just nice, common guys who happened to be good at playing baseball. I'm talking about the Wathens and Guras and Pateks and Leonards.
I can understand split loyalties in NY and Chicago.
It's great to see a small market team be successful instead of just being fodder for the big market teams to keep the $$$ flowing. It gives other similar teams hope. The history of the Royals is that the good players get traded to the big money teams . . . Johnny Damon and so forth.RCI Member Since 24-Aug-1989/150-plus Exchanges***THE TIMESHARE GRIM REAPER~~~Exchanging/Searching/SW Florida/MO/AR/IA/Consumer Advocacy/Estate Planning/Sports/Boating/Fishing/Golf/Lake-living/Retirement****Sometimes ya just gotta be a dick
