    Maybe I am in
    1. The Couch Man
    2. Steve
    3. VVTrader
    4. Lawren2
    5. MShatty
    6. Philsfan
    7. Fisch

    I am in
    1. Tennis Walt
    2. Ryne08

If anyone is interested could you reply with a definite yes? We should get the ball rolling.

My experience has been that if you're joining a free league you can't customize the basic rule set that they have in place.

I was commissioner of a league for 12 years and we paid 100 bucks for software and stats for the year. It was easy to put in the rules for the league. Every Monday and Tueday you downloaded the stats and generated the results and standings reports and you were done. I haven't been involved in a couple of years but I suspect that there are still sites out there like that.

My league had 3 WR positions that you could use for any combination of WR's and TE's. We never allowed 3 rbs in a lineup but you're the commish so anything you decide is ok by me.

      I'm in.

one more thng, though, how are drop/adds going to be handled?

        I'm in........

CBS allows you to enter any scoring you like.
Yahoo defaults to having the Flex position.
Not sure about the other sites.

          I'm in.

Yahoo allows flex but whatever the "guys" choose is OK by me.

Please hurry I leave Friday AM for Ocean City and have no idea as to Wi-Fi availability.

          Thanks for organizing this Mike.

You are correct that with a free league you can't customize the basic rules. So I would like to use CBS Sportsline to create a customized league. The cost is $129.00 per league. That cost would be divided by the number of teams we have.

All the stats, scoring, and add/drops would be done by CBS Sportsline The add/drops would be unlimited and free. Sprotsline allows add/drops to start on Tues at 9:00 ET. Trades would need to be approved by the commissioner.

We could set the flex option to WR and TE.

Any ideas on a leauge name, draft date, and draft time?

What about trades? If my vote counts I vote no trades.

                  Lawren2,

How long will you be gone? Drafting before Friday might be too early.

There could be some injuries and rookies may earn starting positions before the start of the NFL season. So it would be better to wait until we get closer to the start of the NFL season to have our draft. However, we could have it before Fri if need be.

If this is not a keeper league where you get to keep some players from this year for your next year's roster I don't see what trades would add to the mix except for potential hard feelings and headaches for the commish.

I return on the first of September.
My other league is drafting on the fourth.

My concern is signing up and paypaling you any associated fees.

I'm in. This will be a first. So let me know when we need to draft. I agree that closer to the season is best.

I will be out of town over the Labor Day weekend. (Sat. leave, return Monday).

                        This will be fun.

                          phipsfan,

Trading is a way for someone that is hit by injuries to get starting players. This is how the trade system works. When two teams want to make a trade they have to submit the trade to the commissioner through CBS Sports Online. Once that is done it is displayed on the league home page so all teams in the league can view the request. It is then accepted or denied by the commissioner. If any team has a concern about the trade they can contact the commissioner.

Would a 8:00 PM (central time) weekday draft work for everyone or do we need to hold the draft on the weekend?

                              Mike,

A weekday is generally good for me. I just need to know ahead of time which day.
