  • The hated Yanks sweep aside the RedSox

No one is doing worst than my Mariners , but the RedSox must be feeling pretty low after being sweeped by those hated Yanks.

We were beaten fairly. No horrendous calls, just outplayed with the E.E.'s batting, pitching and fielding. The NYY were just that much better, period. No excuses, we played hurt, but so did the Yanks.
6.5 out isn't where we wanted to be at this date, however, the wildcard isn't completely out of reach.
I've renamed Fenway Park ................it's now "Bleak House".

I feel your pain .... but it ain't over 'till it's over!!! Now if they'd only stop relying on Timlin!!! Seems like every time they put him in, he blows our lead!!

Gee I never knew the Yanks were hated. In fact I thought they were liked since every where I go I see Yankee caps. Even in Italy people that live there had them on. BTW I was kidding I know many people hate them. BTW I read in the paper while I was away that they broke ground on the new Yankee stadium on Aug 16.

Interesting weekend for me and hubby. We are Yankees fans. We just spent the past weekend up in Boston with 35+ Red Sox fans at a party for our newly married daughter and her husband's family. They did not even want to talk baseball! If we wern't so tired, my daughter and I were going to hang out on Saturday night at the Four Seasons Hotel and try to catch a glimpse of some Yankees players. My daughter told me that is where the Yankees stay.

                  Boston Massacre II

Wow....I watched several of the games.....the Boston Massacre II.....at least the Wild Card is in reach for you.

I actually don't like either team....and the Red Sox and Yankees are coming to town....so last night I was rooting for a tie game and hoping it would go 18 innings or more....and the yanks finish it in ten.....

See you guys tomorrow night.......I hope to be there but it is my anniversary and if I go and the wife does not go....she may be waiting at home with the

I think the low budget, flyover country Twins will have a say in this before it's all over. Bye, bye BoSox, you had you centennial place in the sun,the curse is over but starting again for another hundred years or so.

                      Sue,
That's true. Didn't we get into the playoffs in 2004 via the wild card ?
