  • You can't lose them all!

It looked like the M's would find a way to lose their 12th against the hated Yanks but a late homer and the M's brake their 11 game skid.

What a difference a week makes. The M's lose 11 in a row then win 5 of 6 from the Yanks and Sox.

Sorry Beagles, the Sox now are 1 of the last 10?

It's true. Go ask the Red Sox.

I'm sorry, I wasn't taking a shot at the BoSox. Mean was not my intention. The quote is one of perserverence... not futility.

I actually was rooting for the Red Sox two years ago once they got past the Yankees (mostly for their fans...I never really cared for the "Idiots", although Damon has certainly cleaned up nicely). Ortiz is probably the only contributor to that team that I liked, even though he always kills us. If I were managing, I'd probably walk him every time up. Also, if you have to lose, it may as well be to the team that wins it all (The Yanks have some experience there-Marlins, Diamondbacks) Plus Boston really did deserve it after their incredible comeback. They beat us fair and square, even getting to Mo.

I've liked the Yankees since I was a kid, but never felt like I had to hate any other team (the way some Yankee fans do) I even like to see the Mets do well, especially now that Willie is over there.

PS Do you all still want K-Rod, I mean A-Rod?

Ah, it's hopeless, oh well. We're not doing anything well and it's painful to watch.

Let's hope that Papi's health is not in jeopardy. He's a great human being and excellent player - never trash-talking, always involved in some sort of volunteer work for the U.S. or D.R.

This year World Series could be between the Mets and the Yankees.
Personally, I am an old Brooklyn Dodgers fan and I hope anyone beats the Yankees !!!!!

I hope Big Papi is ok too.

And I hope Rafael Soriano is ok too....did you guys see him get hit in the head last night by a Vlade drive?....yikes.

                      And we don't want A-Rod either....we already have a K-Rod.

Rafael is a good sorry an excellent ball player and he will bounce back this season.

Boston Red Sox Triva: Jim Rice was the last major league player to lead the league in triples and home runs in the same season 1978.

15 Triples and 46 Home Runs (no steroids)
