Mine do look questionable. The UCONN men have 8 freshmen and no seniors and did not look too impressive in their first game last night. They might go to the big dance, but I doubt if they will win 2 games there. The UCONN women have 5 freshman and no seniors, but they have some experienced guards and they looked pretty good in their 2 exhibition games. They were ranked 8th in the pre-season poll and open their season Monday against Richmond.

Uconn women had their first real test tonight against # 9 Purdue and won 66-55. For a team with no seniors they are looking pretty good. Next real test will be against Tennessee in January. For the Uconn men, they also are beginning to look pretty decent, surprisingly since their starting team either graduated and/or went to the NBA.

Went to Pullman last night to see the WSU Cougars knock of #18 Gonzaga. Nice! I hope they can keep the same intensity in every game this season, but that has been a problem in the past. Also lost to Utah the previous game. I don't think we'll place 10th in the Pac-10 as predicted in the pre-season!

I'm watching the UCONN men play now. They have moved up to # 10 in the rankings with a bunch of freshmen and underclassmen. They are undefeated but they are playing an easy early schedule. There is much room for improvement, but their 7'3" freshman is blocking a lot of shots (5.43 bpg), they have strength, talent and depth at the guard position and they are all improving every game. My opinion is getting more favorable for a 20th consecutive post season bid.
