  • What/Who does your favorite NFL team need?

Here in Houston Texans' land, we have many needs for better players. Rumors are that David Carr is not going to be back, but who will replace him? We need a real running back. Defense needs lots of help, offensive line needs a left tackle, more depth. It would be nice to have a good safety and another cornerback who can acutally play.

With the no. 8 pick in the draft, there is hope that Adrian Peterson will fall and be snatched up by the Texans. He most likely won't be there.

What are the needs of your favorite team? Are you hearing any rumors in your city about trades, drafts etc.?

    Chicago Guy

Chicago Bear fan all my life. The one thing that has hurt us over the years has always been QB and still is. We find someone to step up to the plate once and awhile but nothing consistant. Give me that one QB that will be consistant day in and day out and you will find a constant winner in Chicago.

I'm with you about a QB who is consistant. R Grossman also has another problem in being so short. The lineman in the NFL are so huge that it is a distinct advantage to have a tall QB like P Manning or T Brady.

        Packers need a tall WR

Brett has had only one WR that the defenses in the NFL had to account for in all his years playing QB for the Packers. That WR was Sterling Sharpe. While I like Donald Driver, he needs a tall and fast WR, like Randy Moss to make him better.

Their 2nd need is a good RB. Green may be with Green Bay again next year. But the Packers need to find a long term replacement for him this year. A TE with some speed would be a need too.

The Packers need to draft for the Offense this year.

That say, I hope the Packers draft the best player available and not for need.

PS. I hope that the Bears have to play Rex Grossman (because they never get anyone better to replace him) for the next 5 years.

No one - our Colts are perfect!

Actually, the bloodshed hasn't begun so we don't know what we'll need. I'll go with "fewer injuries".

It's brutal in the Black and Blue Central Division!

The Buccaneers need a smart, agile quarterback and a game plan that includes passes thrown to or beyond the first down marker. I like Gruden, but 3-yard passes with 7- and 8-yard YAC requirements aren't going to get the job done. Chris Sims is a nice guy, but he's not a franchise QB.

Brett baby is probably the most over-rated QB I've ever seen. I believe completions to defense is near that of the offense. Is in line to set interception record. Always said Green Bay won inspite of Farf not because of. Case in point: No talent last couple of years...no meaningful wins. Luzianna man gets rave reviews while throwing interception while on his back. Wow!

I am a Vikings fan. The Vikings management is totally clueless! We need a GM/Director of Player Personnel and a head coach who know how to build a football team. The Vikings have no GM and their Director of Player Personnel (Rick Spielman) was previously with the Dolphins where he continually made bad decsions and was ultimately fired. The Vikings head coach, Brad Childress, seems to be acting in the dual role of GM/coach and does not seem to be adept at either position. He is clearly in over his head.

The Vikings have done virtually nothing in free agency and have a MAJOR problem at the skill positions. They have a young QB (Tarvaris Jackson) that may have potential but does not seem ready to start in the NFL and another (Brooks Bollinger) that is "maybe" a decent backup - at best. They also have no credible wide receivers and are thin at RB with not much behind Chester Taylor. The offense last year was horrendous and, at this point, the prospects do not seem any more favorable this year. Besides that, they could use a DE and help at linebacker and secondary.

Even tho' the Vikes are my team - I'm kind of hoping they fall on their face again this year and fire Brad Childress and Spielman - and bring in new management that knows what they're doing!!

                          New Owner.

                          New City...hopefully in Anaheim.

                          New GM and management.

                          New Offense.

                          New Special Teams.

                          Our defense is ok.

Things can only go up from here. We got the first draft pick. Too bad it wasn't last year. We passed on Matt Leinart at the 7th pick last year...how stupid is that? Now Al realizes we need a QB???? They gave Aaron Brooks how much????
