  • Wish us luck!! High School Baseball begins tomorrow

My son is starting his varsity high school career tomorrow. He's a right handed pitcher starting his first varsity game tomorrow afternoon. He had a wonderful JV career and now it's the big leagues. He has several colleges looking at him so this has got to be his year to shine.

Wish him luck for a great first game, as well as a great season.
    Thanks,
    -Jean

Good luck, I bet he'll do great!

Your guys are doing better than our team, they've had to practice at a batting cage, there's stilll snow on the ground!

Here's hoping for lots of KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!

<at least I think that K is what the symbol is for a strike out I am so baseball illiterate>

Jean....Good Luck to your son, and to you, too!!!

Mt son was a pitcher, and played ball straight through college. He graduated JHU, in 2006. I would get so nervous, when he was pitching, that I couldn't watch the game.

I would roam around the ball park, peeking every now and again, until he was taken out. Oh yeah, I would also listen for cheering. Usually, if I heard a lot of cheering, that meant that my son gave up a hit.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Hope your son has a successful outing and season!!! to "start" is a great accomplishment in itself. Hope to see him in the BIG LEAGUES in a couple of years. Keep it up, champ!

                OK. Good Luck!

Boy,that brings back memories. I (the righthander) and two lefties were our pitching rotation for three years (we started as sophomores). When I didn't pitch I played left field. The lefties only pitched. I really loved baseball, but got my comeuppance when I got to Moo U.

For whatever reason I still play a lot of baseball and football at night, in my dreams. They are very real and I wake up exhausted.

                  Jean,

How exciting. Good luck to your son. I hope he has a great season and great career....with the possible exception if he is playing against any of my teams

                  Wishing you the best.

Well here it is, he took his first varsity win. Pitched 5 innings, gave up 1 run, had 7 Ks, and walked 3.

                    Our team won 4 - 1.

Thanks for all your wishes. Now he can really relax since the first game is behind him.

Sounds wonderful so hopefully now one of the colleges will make him a serious offer one day.

Wow, it's hard to believe the HS season is now over, it went so fast. My son did wonderful he finished the season with 7 wins, 0 losses, 1 save, 60 Ks, with a 1.97 era, pitching in 49 2/3 innings, he batted .353. He made "1st team All Conference", school's "2007 Most Outstanding Player" and still waiting to see what he made in the county.

Thanks everyone for your wishes on a great season.
