I propose that we have the draft on 9/4, 2 days before the first game like we did last year.

Also, for the ones who want to join, we have some room to add a couple of teams because we may have 1 or 2 people not play this year.

Could we hold the draft on a date other than September 4th? That's my Mom's birthday...and I will be with my parents that night.

I think we should give those that were in the league last years until Aug 15th to to let us know if they want in. After the 15th it will be open to the following in the order they are listed (if I read the thread right...if not correct me).

Friday Aug 31st is the last games of the preseason so we have a window of 9/1 - 9/5 to have a draft. Any thoughts or ideas?

I will try to send out invites to those that are in the FFL over the weekend.

Steve, we will put the 4th on the list of dates that might not work. Hopefully that will be the only conflicting date.

Doom rules!

Doom would be happy to make another appearance. If we run out of teams I could take on a co-owner if anyone is interested in that. My only rule is that there is no such thing as team loyalty in fantasy football. You can decide that there will be no players from a particular team (cowgirls come to mind) on our roster but you can't over value players from your home town. If you can live with that, welcome aboard.

Returning from the UK on Sept 2. Can everyone work with Sept 5 as our draft date?

My only concern is that the 5th is the day before the season starts and that doesn't allow for an alternative draft time in case there are any glitches.

However no one has posted any objections to the 5th so the draft will be Wednesday, September 5th 8:00 PM ET. If we have any problems that can't be resolved the night of the draft we will start scoring week 2 of the NFL season.

Last season we had 2 or 3 ties so I propose we use the total score of our reserves players as tie breaker. Also to help avoid ties I made a change in the scoring of passing yards. Last year it was .1 point for every 2.5 yards passing this year I changed it to .1 for every 3 yards.

Any thoughts or concerns?
