First Time 20 or More Points from My WRs.

This was the first time in 4 years of FF that all of my WRs scored 20 or more points in a week.

NO....................M. Colston.........26.5 points
Steelers.............H. Ward............20.8 points
Packers..............G. Jennings.......20.1 points

I needed Jennings 82 yard winning TD pass last night from Brett in order to do it.

What a great ending for the Packers.

Frank, had you played Brett last night, you would have won.

Looking back at my team results this year, I did not have both Running Backs get 20 points or more in a single week. With the injuries to running backs, poor play of top running backs, and having many team having a running game by committee, it appears that the NFL is becoming more and more of a passing League.

In my past FF drafts I always picked Running Backs first. Next year it may be a better choice to pick a top QB and WR first.

Our Scoring System.

I would like to point out how the Scoring Rules for next year could be more fair.

This last week I played Doom. Because of my WR's great games I won. However, let say we were even without the scoring of the QBs.

Doom had Griese and I had Kitna.

B. Griese.........13.7 points
208 PA YDS
1 TD
4 PA INT's
8 RU Yds

J. Kitna........8.9 points
268 PA YDs
-1 RU YDs

Doom would have won.

But the Lions beat the Bears because of the poor play from Griese. In fact if the Lions would have return all 4 INTs for TDs, Griese, not Kitna, would get the ball back and could add to his Passing Yards.

The Bears lost because of Griese's 4 INTs.

In my other CBS Sportsline League, we have the following rules.

FL - Fumble Lost, Including ST plays -2 points

PaInt - Passing Interception -2 points

PaYd - Passing Yards 0+ PaYds = 1 point for every 25 PaYds
Plus a 5 point bonus @ 250+ PaYd

ReYd - Receiving Yards 0+ ReYds = 1 point for every 10 ReYds
Plus a 5 point bonus @ 100+ ReYd

RuYd - Rushing Yards 0+ RuYds = 1 point for every 10 RuYds
Plus a 5 point bonus @ 100+ RuYd

So in the other League,

B. Griese gets 6 points
J. Kitna gets 15 points.

And I win.

I feel that with the 5 bonus points and the -2 points for lost fumbles and Ints, the scoring in my other league is more true to the NFL Scoring and is more fair.

I like it. Currently, we have no penalty on a team/player for a fumble or interception. I think we should have one.

Anyway ,good for me beating you, but bad for me not covering the spread

Anyway to all, I am flying high at 7-1, a big difference from last year when i only won 5 games total

OK you got me. I am coming to Fort Lauderdale on Dec 1 to see the Dolphins Jets game. I am staying at Marriott beach towers, Which if you want can crash for a nite or two.
