To make it work in fantasy, you should have a keeper league. Everyone keeps, "X" amount of players. "X" amount would need to be decided upon. CBS does track keeper leagues, just switch the option on in commisioner options.

But either way we decide is fine.

I agree unless it is a keeper league, the set random draft option is best.

      No worries.
Those cheese spreads will go good for the holiday gatherings coming up.

        Green and Gold .667%
        Pelicans .500%
        Sack Pack .333%

I hope I have made the right calculations. Please feel free to double check .
I don't think that you can go head-to-head as a tie breaker when we play some teams 1 time and other teams 2 times.

        Also our TS4MS rules state:

        Sign In - CBSSports.com

        Scoring:

        Head-to-Head, Points Based System.
Ties go to the team with more points from Reserves.
Scoring based on total stats each period.
Ties in the standings are resolved in this order: Winning Percentage, Total Points.

Another tie breaker after Total Points could be as follows.

All ties will be broken by the team with the most points for the year. If there is still a tie, the team will the highest power rank will win.

        • Walt this is in CBS's help area.

          Question
How do the standings tiebreakers work?

          Answer
If you have multiple teams tied with the same overall Winning-Percentage and your second standings tie-breaker is Head-to-Head Record -- the results of the match-ups between the tied teams is used to create a unique winning-percentage, referencing only the tied teams' Head-to-Head games.

          Example # 1
After 8 weeks of play, three teams are tied in standings based on their Winning-Percentage. For this example, we'll assume they are all tied at 4-4 with a winning percentage of .500. THE 3 TEAMS ARE - Brew, Cali and Wiz who are all 4-4 in the overall standings.

The three teams' Head to Head competition resulted in:
          W/L PCT
          Brew - DID NOT PLAY Either Team = 0-0 --- .000
Wiz - LOST to Cali, DID NOT PLAY Brew = 0-1 --- .000
          Cali - BEAT Wiz, DID NOT PLAY Brew = 1-0 --- 1.000

The individual Head-to-Head competition between all three tied teams is used to create the "mini-standings" outlined above from which the unique winning percentage is derived. Based on the results found within this example, the standings position of these teams which are tied overall with a record of 4-4 would be broken by the Head-to- head tie-breaker in this order:

Cali, Wiz & Brew REMAIN TIED - The system will now reference the next tiebreaker you've selected to determine the standings position of these two teams.

          Example # 2
After 8 weeks of play, four teams are tied in standings based on their Winning-Percentage. For this example, we'll assume they are all tied at 4-4 with a winning percentage of .500. THE 4 TEAMS ARE - Brew, Taco, Cali and Wiz who are all 4-4 in the overall standings.

The four teams' Head to Head competition resulted in:
          W/L PCT
Brew - BEAT Taco, LOST to Cali, DID NOT PLAY Wiz = 1-1 --- .500
Wiz - LOST to Cali, DID NOT PLAY Taco or Brew = 0-1 --- .000
Cali - LOST to Taco, BEAT Wiz and Brew = 2-1 --- .667
Taco - LOST to Brew, BEAT Cali, DID NOT PLAY Wiz = 1-2 --- .333

The Help Area is an area that you can get questions, answered on how you can set up your rules. The head to head answer in the help area seems to make no sense.

A team with the best head to head tie breaker may have also played the last 3 placed teams (teams with the worst records) twice. Giving that team a 6-6 record. Another team involved in the head to head played only the 3 teams with the best records 2 times. Giving that team also 6-6 record. So which team is really the stronger team? The team that scored the most points in the season should be the strongest team.

            The TS4MS Rules states:

Ties in the standings are resolved in this order: Winning Percentage, Total Points

Head to head is not listed as an option in our rules.

But whatever way you want to do it is OK with me.

Our league is head to head every week.
              Per our rules:
              Scoring: Head-to-Head, Points Based System.
Ties go to the team with more points from Reserves.
Scoring based on total stats each period.
Ties in the standings are resolved in this order: Winning Percentage, Total Points.

Based on this I would read. Winning percentage would be tied. Than go to points scored.
Since it's been in the rules all season, it would be unfair to change the tie breaker the final weekend of the season.

However, I do believe tie breakers for playoffs should be based on head to head games of those tied. But it wouldn't be fair to add that to the rules at this date. Maybe set up for next season.
Oh yeah, If I'm tied for the last playoff spot after this weekend, forget what I said above and go with whatever system gets me in

              • We will use total points scored for the 1st tiebreaker.

I also thought we used most points for the 1st tiebreaker. However, to be certain, before I posted a response to Al question about the playoffs I did a search for tiebreakers on CBS website hence my post to Al question.

Damn the memory just isn’t what it used to be or I just can’t remember how it use to be.

                Sorry for any confusion

This only makes sense in a league where you get to keep players on your team from one year to the next. If the team that finishes first doesn't get to keep any of it's players, how are they any better or worse off than any other team before the draft begins next year?

oops, I just saw that Al said that already.

                  • If we have 3 weeks of playoffs and the top 6 teams make the playoffs, how does that work??
After the first week you only have 4 teams left for 2 more weeks of play.

I'd assume; there's that word, that the top two teams would get a first round bye.

The 1st round of the playoffs

                        Championship Bracket
                        1st Place Bye
                        2nd Place Bye
                        3rd Place vs 6th Place
                        4th Place vs 5th Place

                        Tolite Bowl Bracket

                        7th Place vs 10th Place
                        8th Place vs 9th Place

If we used week 12 standing to set the playoff brackets they would look like this.

                        Championship bracket

                        Doom - Bye
                        Purple People Eaters - Bye
                        Bigfrank vs Green and Gold
                        Beach Bum vs Sack Pack

                        Toilet Bowl bracket

                        Pelikens vs EXOPS
                        Rusty Patriots vs Hangers

                          Hi Mike,

If was fun watching the game and the scoring in our match up. The Bear's Defense almost costed me a win. I was going to play Larry Fitzgerald over Hines Ward. But my son, Doug, told me a long time ago to never play anyone that did not practice all week.

So, it was my Hines Ward and Shayne Graham vs your Heath Miller. And I needed 10 points just to be even with you. It didn't look good for me when Ward and Miller both had 3 points and Graham missed a FG and I still needed 10 points.

I was really lucky to have Ward get 2 TDs and 21 points for my win.

Do you know any think about the Donald Driver Foundation?

I was hoping that Roethsberger would look to H Miller for 1 touchdown. That's the most points I have scored all year and I play you.

I have finally benched Reggie Bush, he's really turned out to be a part time player trying to play full time. I even benched Peyton Manning last week because he has changed his ways. This week was the first time all year that he was throwing passes for touchdowns vs. letting Adai run them in.

Oh, well, there's always next year. Good game!
