Well, it took the Yankees coming to the Bay Area and then so many extra innings to get the G*ants to get out of the losing streak - but they did it!!

San Francisco won- 6-5 victory over the New York Yankees and ended their eight-game losing streak

This was a great game, now all we have to do is win tomorrow.

The Giants-Yankees games were great!! Thank you, New York, for breaking our losing streak.

It was great seeing all the Yankee greats especially A Rod….. & Roger Clemens, too. There are a lot of New Yorkers in SF and they were all at the ballpark this weekend. Lots of Yankee hats and jerseys were imminent during the 3-game series.

There was also a 1962 World Series Reunion.
Present from the New York Yankees were Tek Clevenger, Jim Coates, Hector Lopez, Ralph Terry and Bobby Richardson.

From the SF tems were Carl Boles, Bobby Bolin, Ernie Bowman, Matty Alou. Jim Davenport, Mike McCormick, Billy Pierce, Gaylord Perry, Felipe Alou, Orlando Cepeda, Juan Marichal, Willy McCovey and Willie Mays. (The last five are very visible at the ballpark several times each season.)

The enjoyable part was seeing Billy Crystal and Robin Williams sitting in the owners’ box seats. Don’t think Billy was too happy by Sunday evening!

Now we are going to take a break from it all and walk to the beach, watch the sunset & to smoke a to celebrate.

My husband and I (Red Sox fans par excellence) were at the TampaBay/Dodgers game with our nephew visiting from Maine (a rabid Yankees fan). He cheered for LA, we cheered for TB....TB won, the Yankees lost, and the Sox won...great day for us,not so much for our nephew. We thought of you often, especially when Clemens pitched to Bonds..historical moment...

What a great experience and you were able to enjoy it in one of the nicest, if not the nicest ball park in the country. We have been to several games at Pac Bell ( aka ATT, SBC ). I only went to one night game there on July 31st and will never do it again. My son ( it was his birthday ) and I froze to death. Since then, we only go to day games in San Francisco.

When I lived in Hawaii, I used to go to the PCL games and watch the Hawaii Islanders. I heard that the team is no more.

Well, at least I have the Red Sox at historic Fenway Park. It doesn't get much better than that.
