Wonderful comment on Derek Jeter's defense

Derek Jeter is a fantastic ballplayer, but by all objective criteria plays horrid defense. He carries a wonderful defensive reputation because he makes a lot of plays that look spectactular, but most of those wonderful plays are situations that are routine for even an average shortstop.

Which is prelude for this wonderful analogy about Derek Jeter's defensive reputation:

Derek Jeter's defense is like a pair silicon breasts under a sweater.... close examination by discerning parties reveals a horrifying abomination, while those who don't want to look too closely (or who don't care) are thrilled with the illusion...

I know nothing about sports, so when I saw the title of this thread, I thought Derek Jeter was yet another athlete accused of a felony and the comment was about his legal defense! Glad to hear it's just about his playing ability!
