Even if you didn't like the 49ers, it hard not to respect such a great coach.

As a lifelong NY Giant fan Bill was a man we loved to beat when we could.

Bill Walsh did more for football's offense than any coach before or since. He completely revolutionized the game and from all appearances was a true gentleman.

I never liked the 49ers but I was always in awe of Bill Walsh. What he did with that sad franchise in such a short period of time was 'Genius'. He was always a true gentleman as well. This is a great loss to the world of athletics. So long Bill....you made an everlasting impact on the game and the world.
