  • Bill Belicheat - a man with no remorse

I have totally lost all respect for Bill Belicheat. He cheated. Got caught red handed. And, he wouldn't even admit it or apologize for it in his own words in his press conference today. He wouldn't even read his public press release which he said he wrote, but I bet he didn't. He just kept saying that everything is in the past and he just wanted to preapre for the San Diego Chargers. Well, hello, this ain't over. Fans need answers and they need your sincerest apologies.

His press conference made Michael Vick look like Mother Theresa. Michael Vick seemed truly and sincerely sorry for what he did. And, he probably paid the price by forfeiting his career and over $100M.

Bilicheat would not admit that he did anything wrong. He wouldn't answer any questions. He wouldn't apologize. What a LOSER! All Patriot fans should condemn his lack of remorse.

Now, I think that the NFL should investigate him for anything and everything rumored that he has done. He is a cheater and it puts all of the Patriot's championships in question.

    Bill Bilicheat = Pete Rose.

I'll bet he has been doing a lot more cheating which is why he isn't talking. He doesn't want to tip off anyone on the other underhanded stuff he is doing.

I can't wait to hear his apologists defend him on this one. It probably will start with, "but everyone is doing it"

    Thumbs down for Belichick

As a huge New England Patriots fan, I have to say that I thought Belichick's behavior at his press conference was absolutely pathetic. Even disgraceful.

I have cheered for the Patriots for years, and I want a sincere apology. I want an explanation. I want a commitment to play fair and abide by all the rules. Instead, I saw a man who was rude, evasive, and arrogant. Someone who was only sorry that he got caught and upset that the commissioner slapped his hand. This isn't all in the past...he just got caught last Sunday. His comments were just the pits. No remorse at all.

I was shocked and even sad. I have always thought of the Patriots as the class of the NFL. Now, I'm not sure what to think.

Don't think it mattered, but then why do it. I'm not a Sean Salsbury fan but he said there was really no advantage. But then I say, why do it. Doesn't surprise me though. Pro sports are becoming the anti-culture/sub-culture thing like porno used to be. I look down on and mock and ridicule the movie buffs and their whore/whoremonger stars but pro sports are no better, yet I watch them weekly. I think I need a shot of Calvinism! Need to start watching Falwell more...or someone.

I think I need a shot of Calvin and Hobbes more than Calvinism or Falwell.

I would purchase that cereal but I still have a half box left of the 1987 Minnesota Twins Wheaties. Goes good with a Twinkie.

Thanks, Big Frank. That cereal box is hilarious. Nice to have a laugh. I've been pretty steamed about the Patriots this week...and that took the edge off.

Sadly, cheating and lying and bullying, or at the very least, misleading, is as American as Mom, Apple Pie, and the Fourth of July, and is still an acceptable way to get what you want in our country.

It could not have been said any better. I have 4 boys 7-13, and they are being taught by society that it does not matter how you win. I am sure that coach Billicheat blames the person who caught him for all this trouble, and not his cheating. That is how it is done, then we should attack Boca for bringing it up on the forum, after all, it is wrong to call a loser a loser.

                    Sad commentary on professional sports

As a 20 year season ticket holder, I am saddened and disgusted
on what is going on in professional sports in general and the New England
Patriots in particuliar. There are over 300 convicted felons playing in the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB... Professional sports is not about sports anymore...
Its about greed and winning at any cost, even if it is illegal, immoral,
or unethical. I gave up my NHL Bruins season tickets the year of the strike
and havent missed them 1 iota. I will have to give serious consideration to the Pats next year.
                    Regards from LA...

I love the Pats, and have respected Bill Belichick until now...yes, everyone is doing it, but everyone is wrong to do it just the same. It makes me angry that these folks are picking up major paychecks all the while, and people who are teachers, factory workers, nurses, etc. get paid so little.
Will I still cheer for the Pats? Probably...but with some jading...

Just another leading sports story, sadly, all the leading ones seem to pertain to cheating/betting referees, juicers and now this with Belichik. What next, Tom Brady fathering a child out of wedlock ? Oh, wait a minute.............

About 75% of those are with the Bengals and unfortunately for this Viking fan, the rest are or were with Minnesota or Green Bay. Green Bay won't admit it though.
