I understand that it only includes the regular season, but I still don't get this.
Of course, I'm biased, but a lot of the sportscasters (not local ones, either) said the same thing.

Lower ERA, more innings, more K's, fewer walks and just one less win in spite of having a weaker offensive team behind him. Not much of a mystery, really, if you look at the stats objectively.

I just wish they'd look at the postseason stats, but that's the way the ball bounces...........
