  • Our Son's team is in the final 4.

Our son coaches the men's soccer team at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. They won the regional playoffs in a shoot-out yesterday and are now one of the final 4 teams that will be playing for the NCAA Div. II national championship in Alabama at the end of the month. Last year, he was voted regional coach of the year when he was the head coach at Bethel in Tennessee. Needless to say we are very proud of him.

How exciting! My daughter was a soccer player, and I so much enjoyed watching those games. Much good luck to your son and his team, along with congratulations for the great season.

Thank you very much. Usually, our son doesn't display much emotion after a game. He always calls us after every game, ( and several other times a week ) and I can't tell whether they won or lost until he tells me. Saturday night was an exception. I knew as soon as I answered the phone that they had won as he was pretty excited. We wanted to go and see the playoffs but it is impossible to schedule as you never know where they will be playing. Sometimes they don't know until a couple days before the game as it all depends on who wins or loses in the different regions and conferences.

We thought that they would be coming here to Southern California for last Saturday's game but then the Southern California team lost and they ended up playing Sonoma State University ( Northern California ) at home in Wichita Falls.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Our team (Southeast Missouri State University) when to the Finals twice in Basketball. They held them in Springfield, MA. Exciting trips, didn't win the Championship, but had a lot of Fun. Then they decided to go Division One and have just been in the middle of the pack, since. It was far more fun to be a big fish in a small pond than a small fish in a big pond.

John, maybe things will work out and you can go. We flew once, back on the People Express and then drove once. A long drive in March!

Congratulations. It really is fun to have your children experience success in any of their endeavors.

Hope he goes all the way and wins!

Thank you very much for your generous offer. We are planning on visiting Boston next July or August. We have a confirmed week at the Manhattan club in New York City for July 19-26 2008. We may stay a few extra days in NYC depending on the Yankees schedule. It is part of our trip to the East to visit Chicago, New York, Boston, Niagara Falls, Montreal, and Quebec City. We are going to see the Cubs at Wrigley Field, The Yankees, and the Red Sox. I can't plan the rest of the trip until the 2008 Major League Baseball Schedule is available.

Let me know if you're looking for Sox tickets. I will start looking for them right away when I have your dates, that is, unless you already have tickets.
If you'd like me to arrange breakfast with some of the TS4Mers and some Tuggers, just say so. I won't do anything unless you'd like to. We got together when Hoc came and it was fun.
