The Lakers Celtics match-up's from the 60's and 70's still burn me up so I hold my grudge from then.

Honestly....I will never allow parquet flooring in any living space I have, I refuse to drink Sam Adams beer, I hate the color green, not much for shamrocks or the Irish thing even though I am part Irish, I don't smoke cigars because of Red Auerbach, .....I will think of some more but the mind is not working like it used to when I wasn't middle aged.

    So what about it?
Gee, I'll have to Shanghai you to Boston and have my (sports) way with you !
    Then you'll "believe".
We'll brainwash you and send you home with Larry Bird's green shirt, sporting a B cap, wearing number 4's jersey and sporting a Pats' banner.
    Ah, yes !!!

Oh, I think you meant '2007, but aren't all you California fans all a decade behind ? I mean living in the past ?
      Glory days.

        Thanks......I guess.....

We did visit your lovely city during the fall one year.....had a great time but did not make it to Fenway.....some day.

Believe me when I tell you it takes a lot out of me to root for the Giants....but if it is any consolation I am not rooting for them but against the pats.

        Remember the snow job!!!!!

And you are welcome as my guest to Angel Stadium anytime

No problem wearing your gear and I offer you my personal protection.....Angel fans are very nice by the way....most of us anyway. But that does not go for Dodger Stadium.

I will be wearing my Angels gear in Boston....Just like I do in NY...and everywhere else I go for that matter.

The days were so much nicer when we could chant 1918

Will it be still ANOTHER record when the Patriots beat this one team three separate times within just one year?

Too many records to keep track of, I just can't keep up anymore.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- Has Tom Brady given the boot to the boot?

Hours after being photographed with a walking boot on his right foot as he followed girlfriend Gisele Bundchen into her New York apartment on Monday, other pictures showed the New England Patriots quarterback wearing black shoes -- and no boot -- when he showed up at a New York hotspot.

The word around Boston is that Brady might voluntarily wear walking casts on BOTH feet for the Super Bowl, in the interests of "levelling the playing field" with the opposing quarterback.

I think we will have a great show at any rate.

                          Okay, works for me.
I just have never considered a pre season game a "real" game.

Gee, I wish you didn't mention that. I'm supersticious about beating a team three times in a row..

Well, as long as the guys on the playing field aren't superstitious, all should be well.

Still another record I've just thought of would be ONE team beating Manning quarterbacks FOUR separate times within just ONE year (and losing ZERO times in doing so).

Personally, I would have much preferred to see Brett Favre have one last shot at playing in a Super Bowl, but the Packers simply did not deserve to win against the Giants on Sunday. Green Bay had multiple opportunities to take control of the game and win but just plain didn't get it done.

You know... I respect your opinion. You indeed have a valid reason to root against the Pats.
What I don't respect is when people root against the Patriots for no reason at all, or just because they're mad about a team getting so much attention.

I feel the EXACT same you do, except about New York teams. That's mostly because of my pure hatred of the Yankees. I just can't stomach looking at the Giants fans, and knowing many of them are also Yankee fans. It makes me puke. Therefor, the Giants, Jets, Rangers, Knicks, are all off limits. I kind of like the Mets, just because many of their fans also hate the Yankees.

As far as the Celtics/Lakers match ups of years past...
I LOVED those days, as I was a huge Celtics fan.
That said, I no longer care much for basketball, as the game itself has changed from what it once was..
