Yankee Tickets

We will be in NYC this July and will be attending a Yankees game. I checked their web site to buy the tickets online but it keeps saying there are none which I don't believe as there are several available through other sources. I have bought tickets online for several other teams like the Padres, Giants, Rangers, etc. by simply going to the schedule, picking the game and clicking on the "T" icon for that game. The Yankees web site takes you through the steps like the others but then tells you there are no seats together. I even tried on the first day the tickets went on sale.

I did a search for Yankees tickets and found several sources with hundreds of tickets available. Can anybody recommend what source to use? I looked for a phone number for the Yankees box office but couldn't find one.

Tickets at StubHub! Where Fans Buy and Sell Tickets Of course, hugely inflated prices over face value. I have no problem with buying from scalpers especially when you're both outside and it's the top of the 1st, however, as you know, you miss the starting lineup and national anthem.

I've never used them, but Sox fans have with success. Also, try craigslist classifieds: jobs, housing, personals, for sale, services, community, events, forums

Do the Yankees not sell their single game tickets directly to the public like other teams do?

Did you go here ? The Official Site of The New York Yankees: Schedule: 2008 Yankees Schedule I think you may be able to get them ? I went to The Official Site of Major League Baseball: Homepage and found the Yankees. Clicked on that. Went into their website and clicked on tickets, but that got me only as far as May. Then I clicked on schedule and found July. Late edit - I just tried and can't even get 2 tickets together. Hmmm.

When I go to the MLB RedSox tickets page for single games, they're sold out, too at this late point. I would suspect that is true for the Yankees as well.
Sometimes, there are tickets held back for late season (Aug-Sept) and released mid-season.
Fortunately, I have a good friend with season's tickets for the Sox and happily accept what she gives me and lets buy at face value. When there's a game that she's already made plans for (w/o me), then I shop ebay, stubhub, craigslist or scalpers.

I found better deals on ebay (only reliable and long term sellers) than I did on stubhub. ebay has loads of agencies like stubhub as well, but they do have the individual seller, too.
Let me know if you come to Boston (oh, fyi - my sister moved from the Murrietta area and bought a house in LosGatos, wherever that is).

Well, I just fooled around on the site MLB) and did get access/opportunity to purchase, 2 $325 tickets for tomorrow and the day after (Blue Jays) games. Of course, I did not follow through, but anyone who can make it, if you do the power search, "search multiple dates, it will show you all available tickets for all games.

From what I am hearing games are selling out fast because of this will be history. Keep in mind how many Yankee season ticket holders there are. I am an ex season ticket holder and once I let my tickets go, I never found a need to buy them again. My wife bought us a few tickets on Ticketmaster did you try them.

You mean you did not hear about it, Unless I am wrong about one because it was on and off so many times. Were getting a double whammy, Both Shea and Yankee stadiums new.

I have gone to NY and been to many a Yankee game. I always wait until I arrive and then check at the many NY Yankee stores in Manhatten. They sell tickets from season ticket holders who are not attending the game so they have the best seats. I have never had a problem getting tickets this way and we have always gotten great seats.
