I miss Chick too...he started his consecutive streak of broadcasting Laker games the day after I was born....and now you all know how I old I am

It was somewhere between the loss of Chick and the crap with Kobe that I lost interest..though I have perked up a bit at these game 7's. I heard on the radio that Kevin Garnett's strategy was to get Paul Pierce the ball and get the hell out of his way! LOL!

Me too.....Chick was the best. It has never been the same since he passed. I will always hold it against Snaq for disrespecting Chicky baby.

When I was in second grade my teachers let me sign my name as Johnny West in honor of the 'Logo.'

Don't forget Elgin Baylor and Happy Hairston..Big Jimmy Mac...and Johnny the original 'alley oop' Egan.

All those days of losing to the celtics in the finals is why I still refuse to buy any sam adams beer, install any parquet flooring in any house I live in, nor do I like the color green for that matter.....etc etc.

No I won't get over it.....never. The boston celtics are the evil empire of basketball....and always will be.

I'm too young to remember Elgin Baylor. But, I did despise the Celtics and Larry Bird. He prevented us from winning 8 or 9 championships in the 80's.

I am a big Lakers fan. My favorite team was the 1971-72 Lakers that won the NBA championship. My favorite player was Jerry West but they also had some other great ones like Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor, Gail Goodrich, etc.

          GO LAKERS!!!!

Look who won the game, the old team that were showing signs of aging. Now if Boston can win one game in the motor city. I have Boston in 7 games and the Spurs in six *(6).

Yeah, the Hornets choked under the hugeness of the game. The Lakers won't.

This is the last year for the Spurs dominance in the NBA. The Lakers are the Sheriff in the West. Just wait until Andrew Bynum is back in it. It will either be this year or next.

Spurs = Old Legs. This is why I wanted them instead of the Hornets.

Kobe = 2 Points in the first half. That's the last time that will happen.

                              Lakers 89 - Spurs 85

                              Game 2: Lakers by 20.

Game 2 Detroit. Home field advantage.... GONE.

Can Boston win a game on the road?
