I believe whoever wins game 2 will win the series.

The first key pychological thing the Lakers need to do is completely blow off the faking noises coming from Paul Pierce about his injury. There isn't one. It's total BS. He isn't hurt. He's faking it because he knows that if the crowd believes he is hurt, the rest of the team will get up for the game and when he comes in full force, it will give a boost to the whole team. Don't fall for it.

Historically, the team that wins game 2 generally wins the series for a best of 7 with a 2-3-2 format. That applies to baseball as well, i.e. World Series.

        Go Lakers!!!

At Game 2 last night with my son, who flew in from LA....

          WHAT A GAME!!!!!

How about Leon Powe with 21 points off the bench???? He went to the line for 13 shots which was more than the entire Lakers team...
Unfortuately, Celts let up both offensively and defensively in 4th qtr
          and almost blew game...

And Boca, you are way off base on Piece's injury... Have you watched the replay of the injury???? Did you see the angle of his ankle and foot in relationship to his his knee when he got tangled up with Perkins as he fell??? The Pierce Conspiracy Theory was contrived by a columnist in LA who had nothing good to write about the Lakers after game 1 and was picked up by ESPN and other talking heads who are in love with this Lakers team....Pierce wanted to walk off the court but the training staff wouldnt let him....Training staff wanted him to go for MRI but he refused until after the series is over...

To all those who picked the Lakers in 5.....

How is that working out for you?????

          2 down....2 to go!!!!!!

          GO CELTS!!!!!

Game 2 was total dominance by the Celts. Everything was going well for them. Smothering defense. Great play from role players. Typical performance from stars. They looked unbeatable.

Can't wait to get home for some home cooking. If we don't win 3 at home, the series is over.

It doesn't look good for the Lakers. But, we'll have to see how they respond in LA.

I thought the ref very successful took Kobe out at early stage in game 2.

I read that Celtic does not believe they will loss 3 away games continuouse. If they are like the first 2 series, they will loss all the away game. Which make them have to win back to back in Boston.

If that happen, game 6 is more importantly than game 2. So far, there is no series until one team break home court game.

The calls were definitely in the favor of Boston. But, I don't like to whine about the officials. The Lakers would have lost that game even if the game was called fairly.

I think the biggest problem is that the Lakers aren't physical enough. We could really use Andrew Bynum. Fortunately, we will have him back in the line up next year. Boston is really up for this series. They are playing better than they have against their previous opponents.

Boston must win one game in LA, if not LA in six.

Where are Russell, Cousey, Bird, Cowling, Saunders, Dennis Johnson, John H, Sam & KC Jones and the others ?

Boston will need all the shooting & defensive plays and history on their sides to win two straight
                      games in LA.

The officiating was horrendous on both sides of the ball last night and has been thru out the playoffs.....Many over-the-back fouls never called against Lakers that could have been...Pierces 4th qtr 3 pointer
that was denied because traveling was called after he got knocked off his feet by LA defender then resulted in a 3 pointer by LA...You could watch a replay of game and come up with a dozen calls or non calls against both teams that should have never happened.
At least now with Tim Donaghy we know why he made so many bad calls....
ESPN - Donaghy under investigation for betting on NBA games - NBA

Apparently NBA officiating has become what is known in golf as " the rub of the green" ... ( Rub of the Green - Definition of Rub of the Green )

Lets hope it keeps going the way of the Green for the remainder of the playoffs!!!!

                        GO CELTS!!!!

The zebra's can call any game any way they want....that is always the problem with the NBA. If they call a balanced game that is one thing....but it was way out of whack. The nit pick calls putting Kobe in foul trouble early as well as other key Lakers and then the no calls were a friggin joke. But it usually balances out through the series so we will see what happens in LA.

That was big that Boston got the first two......Lakers woke up at the end. Bring it on in LA.

Lakers win game 3 in a squeaker. Lots of players played poorly including Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Derek Fisher, Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol.

Boston blew a golden opportunity to go up 3-0 and pretty much end the series. But fortunately for the Lakers, Kobe Bryant and Sasha Vujacic kicked butt making the series 1-2 in favor of Boston.

I expect game 4 to be much better played. The Lakers will probably win by 20 points or more now that the first game in under their belt.

The officiating pretty much evened itself out yesterday.

If the Lakers win tomorrow, we have ourselves a series again.

Hats off to the Celtics. They had one of the most impressive comebacks I've ever seen. It was more the Celtics than the Lakers collapsing. 1-3 down with 2 more games in Boston is almost impossible to overcome. Gotta win the next one and see what happens in Boston.
