Boston again is playing this one for "Red A."

Finally, the media is getting it (including LA writers)....

National & Local Sports News & Information - Los Angeles Times

      Boston is the better team!!!!

Winning 66 regular season games and going 23 and 4 against Western Conference teams was not a fluke....

      GO CELTS

Went to bed last night when the Celts were down...woke up and they WON!
        Great Job!

        GO CELTS

The problem with real life is that there is no background music.

I am not happy and hate Boston even more.....but it is obvious this celtics team wants it more than this Laker team. That was a great comeback. It was like game 2 when the Lakers came back but the celtics still found it within themselves to win.....Doc Rivers definately has out coached Phil in this series.

The well fed lady isn't singing yet.....but she is close.

No way the Lakers can win twice in Boston. It's pretty close to being over. I'd like to take game 6 to set the tone for next year. This could end up being an epic 5 year run between these two teams.

I don't hate the Celtics like I did in the 80's. I guess I grew up. I do respect Paul Pierce. And, their defense in unreal.

                              lacked class

                              Over the top celebrating:

Celtics celebrating with 4 minutes left to go.

Gatorade on the coach - this is not done in the NBA!

Players celebrating like they ended world hunger

                              Garnett screaming "I'm certify"!???

Brian scalabrine's post game press conference (he didn't play a single minute
                              in the entire playoffs)!

                              (obviously I'm a laker fan)

                                Too bad, so sad...

And gone they are --- by 39 points, no less.

One of my fondest memories of this long dormant rivalry was seeing Kurt Rambis just clotheslined by Kevin McHale in 1984, with Rambis coming up (off the floor, that is) whining (...but certainly not swinging). I always thought Rambis to be a "dirty" player, so it seemed to me like perfect karmic retribution at the time.
Anyway, while it somehow lacked much of the luster of some of the series of yesteryear, I'm sure that the Celtics organization will somehow find room to hang that (17th) flag somewhere in the already crowded Boston Garden rafters. I'll raise a cold Sam Adams to you --- just because you're such a friendly guy...

Frankly, I think the biggest surprise to me this year in the NBA was that the Lakers ended up representing the West in the finals at all. I would not have predicted that; I just really didn't (and still don't) consider them to have been the "Best of the West".
