It was a great story but I wish he had not wasted those swings in second round.

He would have probably won if he just saved his body for few more minutes. Forget how many he hit the second round that meant nothing.

Nice story for his pitcher too!

I really don't care about the idiotic scoring. IMHO he won. I'm sure next year they will change that stupid rule that the last round only counts.

Our son, a sports' reporter for the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, "found" and wrote about Josh Hamilton and his story during Josh's return to baseball during the Reds' spring training in Sarasota, Feb, 2007. Josh is the same age as my son, and they made a real "connection". We have been following Josh for a year and a half and continue to be amazed with his success!!

Yep, I agree that he was a winner before he even got on the field. The rest of the story is a bonus, and a big one. How heartwarming it was for him to include is old American Legion coach, as he had promised years before. Great story.
