In the last week I have heard he was going to the Vikings then the Jets but now here he might stay with the packs on salary for a non playing job. Honestly I would love to see him with the Jets but would rather see him end his legacy with GB

Cheeseheads! Weigh in on Favre fiasco

We will all know within the next 48 hours. As a shareholder and Favre fan, I have watched the situation critically. I don't know anymore that what I have read in the newspapers or heard on ESPN or FOX sports.
I am confident that managment did not try to force Brett out. He had a great run in Green Bay and the organization, his teammates, the state, city, and fans supported him through thick and thin, high and low.
While everyone has the right to change their mind (or in mho, make a bad decision), there are consequences. The club had to protect itself for the future which it did. If Brett wants to re-write the ending, that's his call but it is only fair that the Packers recieve some consideration in exchange.
If its about money (how could it be-how much is enough??), take what the club has offered.
If you want to stay connected with the game without further risking your middle age body, go to FOX or ESPN as a commentator. (I cant believe this isn't the option your dear wife and family would like you to choose.)Either would love to hire you.
If you do want to play, cooperate with the organization in its efforts to find you a team.

OK, I have to comment on this one!
From a Wisconsin transplant living in NC- I absolutely would not want to be Ted Thompson, Mike McCarthy or Aaron Rogers! No matter what they do, they are set up to fail. I can see Rogers getting hurt (again) in the first game and the Packers having to go through the season with some no-name. Certainly the Pack will lose some of their alure without Brett. If Brett is not good enough to be your starting qb (are you kidding, get real!!!) then why the concern if he ends up in the dreaded purple or black uniform. The way Farve handled the situation is immature and not well thought out. But was there a lot of contemplation in the way he played football? Take him for what he is, roll out the red carpet and beg him to come back so there is a shot at another superbowl. I am not sure that many of us will live long enough to survive another 30 year superbowl drought.
Unless you live in WI, you probably don't get the whole Packer thing. It reminds me of how the locals here are about Carolina basketball- absolutely fanatical.

The latest twist in the Brett Favre story came Sunday as Ed Werder reported that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell reinstated the Green Bay QB. The coast is now clear for Favre to arrive at the Packers' training camp.

So what do you think will happen:
1 He stays retired, cashing in on the $20M to stay away
2 He goes back to the Packers, and is the back up on opening day
3 He goes back to the Packers, and gets the starting job
4 He gets a full release and goes where he wants to
5 Packers trade him to an NFC North team, that's not the Lions
6 Packers trade him to another NFC division team
7 Packers trade him to an AFC team
I'm thinking #2 today, mayself News at eleven!
Something tells me that with this latest turn of events this week (and it's only Tuesday) is that he is done and will not be playing in 2008.

Jets Jets Jets......great....now in NY so it will be in the news cycle over and over and over.....I am sick of it personally. Enough please. Just like Manny...only happy when their name is the top story and repeated over and over.
Just Farve being Farve....now in NY. hee hee....maybe the Jets will win more than five games this season. Poor Chad.....cya. Hey BF how do you feel?"If a Nation expects to be ignorant and free in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.... If we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every American to be informed."
