Legends Wrestling Reunion
Last weekend Kelli and I went to Charlotte for the wrestling reunion. This is the real oldtimers, Paul JOnes, Ole Anderson, Thunderbolt Patterson, Bob Caudle, Rip Hawk etc. . We stayed at the HIlton from Thurs to Sunday and had the time of our lives. I don't know who had more fun, me or Kelli.
It's sad to see how the oldtimers have abused their bodies, both from in the ring injuries and life and old age combined. Paul and I almost ended up on the floor as he is in worse shape than me. I slipped with my bad leg and he tried to grab me. Somehow or other we hit it off and we spent hours together. We had a group of us who would meet in the lobby and talk till wee hours in the morning. I would give Paul a kiss on the cheek every night and every morning. Kelli & I were going to breakfast and asked if anyone wanted me to bring back something and Paul says, aren't you forgetting something? He had to have his morning kiss!! Ole's wife (Marsha) was kidding him that he was going to miss me when he went home. The last day when I kissed him goodbye he just hugged me and said I was quite a lady. Boy, was he good for my ego!! Some of the vendors brought people in and they were charging for photos. Ric Flair was charging $100. No way Jose!! I got everyone's pic without paying (they were all in the bar) plus it was more fun that way!!!
Kelli was not left out. They brought in some young wrestlers from TnA and she hit it off with them and hung out with them in the bar. Baby Doll asked me if the girl with the dark curly hair was my daughter and when I told her it was she said she is sooo cute!! Then another diva came up and said how precious Kelli was. She enjoyed having her hang out with them at the bar. They even brought her back frenchfries from McDonalds. She also managed to knock a drink out of Reid Flairs ( Ric 's son) Ricky Steamboats son looked just like him and he was adorable. Just like Ricky!!
I enjoyed the whole weekend. It was fun talking to the oldtimers and catching up with them. Shaggy
