Rain shorten World Series

Is it just me or is anyone else pissed about the world series on Monday night??

With the Phillies ahead by one run and all the rain in the fifth inning how was the game not called??

Later to find out the Bud had changed the rules ( like you can change the rules??) and said that no matter what the game would go the full distance even if it meant that it would get split between several days. There would be no rain shorten WS game.

PS I'm not a Phillie fan just a MLB fan.

What does it matter? Virtually no one cares. The BEST year was when the World Series was canceled and, guess what, hardly anyone even noticed. Baseball has been ruined with free agency and the total lack of team loyalty that began back when the A's were dismantled in the 60's or 70's. It s a big bore now. Declare a winner and let it be forgotten.

My brother-in-law was real pissed, he was at the game in the way upper deck, cold and soaked!!
I thought it was kind of a bad call to not call it when Phillies ahead but then call it as soon as it gets tied up. Either play in the slop or not!! But then I was pulling for the Phillies also.

I care! I want to see Philli win with a real game however and perhaps MLB should make a rule that a world series came can be paused or at least have it go a full inning. Stopping mid-inning when clearly they were hoping for a tie kinda sucks.

I Would Think That The Phillies Would Rather Win It In Nine

I'm a Brewer's Fan. And as a fan I would rather see the NL team win.

But I also would rather have my team win in nine. This was not just a game. It could be a very special game. It could be the last game of the World Series.

What joy would there be having the Phillies win the World Series after a 2 or 3 hour rain delay?
