Making the cut at Masters?

Have there ever been so few people to make the cut at Masters? Only 49 golfers made the cut.

This week with two guys shotting 9 under and only people within 10 shots of the lead making the cut ( must have at least 44 people make cut) the cut at the master was +1. One of the lowest cuts ever in the masters.

Looks like Rory Mc Ilroy is disqualified , but he would have missed the cut anyway.

Slightly OT, but Anthony Kim's round was insane. 11 birdies, which is a Master's record. That kid has some mad skills. Even though it's his first trip around Augusta, I won't be at all surprised if he's hanging with the leaders on the back 9 Sunday afternoon.

I believe he's made it through at +1. The potential disqualification was to do with a question mark over whether kicking the sand in the bunker after fluffing a shot could be considered "testing the sand". They seem to have decided that was not his intention.

Unfortunate for Rory to go +5 over the last 3 holes. He went from being in contention to just barely making the cut. I have an idea we'll be hearing a lot from him in the future.

Pretty much a war of attrition there at the end, but that was a hell of a par save on the first playoff hole by Cabrera. He deserved to win. Nicely done, Angel!
