What a game last night between Cleveland & Orlando. Orlando needs to just one more game.

Originally posted by Elan View PostThe key to the Lakers being successful is getting a 3rd offensive weapon involved. In game 5 it was Odom. Last night, it was Odom and Ariza. When they get both of those guys in the flow offensively, they are very tough to beat.
I would add Pau Gasol to that mix. When he gets the ball in the post, he is very dangerous and at times unstoppable. The Denver defense couldn't stop him for the last 2 games. I think a lot of Denver's success early in the series was due to their denying him the ball.
Andrew Bynum has been very disappointing this post season. I hope he steps it up for the finals.
Can't wait for the finals.

And no not all NBA players are thugs. Why do people think this?
Also the ratings are the highest ever. So people are definitely watching this
Last nights game probably made you miserable. Here's to 4 more games of pure misery for Philadelphia Sixer fans.

Originally posted by ElanYeah, I was counting Kobe and Gasol as the 2 given scorers, although Pau certainly can disappear for stretches. He is the most versatile big man in the league. If Bynum turns into an even mediocre player, as long as he's consistent, the Lakers could be very good for years to come.
With Lamar gone, Bynum will need to step up and become a big time center. That's what he's getting paid to be. He needs to be it. He was playing great up until he got hurt in Memphis. He should be okay as long as he doesn't have another knee injury. He's got to stop getting into foul trouble.
I am most excited about Shannon Brown. He could become a big time point guard that we've been missing. Big enough to guard the big guards in west and athletic enough to drive to the basket and finish. I love Derek Fisher. He's one of my favorite Lakers. But, I get nervous anytime he puts the ball on the floor and drives to the basket.

I finally took a look at this thread. Needless to say, you are breaking my heart, Jim... I expected that from Mario- but from you as well!
I'm holding on.. Magic have been up and down all playoffs, so I wouldn't place too much faith in last night's result.

I am a lifelong Laker fan. My heartbreak was with the evil Celtics. We got our first redemption in the 80's. The only Magic I love is Earvin Magic Johnson for breaking that curse of the Irish. Once Kobe gets his 7th ring, I'll root for Orlando. Heck, I might even root for Boston. NOT!
