I left her a voice message explaining she needs to make 2 changes to her roster or I will get an automatic win because she has an illegal roster. I also said I would make 2 changes for her this week. I hope this doesn't upset anyone.

Are you sure that a player on a BYE makes the roster illegal? I don't think it does. It's only illegal if you don't have the proper number of players at each position.

The Guru had Steve Smith (NY Giants) getting 5 points. Steve Smith got me 25.4.

Where does the Guru come up with the players points for each week?

By the way, when you wrote your post I was in Central Park. We are staying at the Manhatten Club and the location is really great. We walked about 3 blocks to get to Central Park. We walked to Times Square and St Patrick's Cathedral today. The Studio room is very nice too.

PS. Playing a player that is on a bye week will not get you any points but you will still have a legal line up. It would be the same as having a player not playing this week's game because at the last minute that player was a no go because of an injury.

Just Keep The Bye Player Active

Last year when I played A-Team I left a player that was on a bye week in my lineup. I didn’t have all the required positions filled with an active player and it was an illegal lineup and didn’t score any points.

Here is an example. If I only had 1 kicker on my roster and when that kicker was on a bye I would’t be able to fill all the required positions therefore I would have an illegal lineup.

I looked at the rule last year and I thought that is how it read. I will check again.

I know that I am playing a team in another CBS FF League were he has a bye week player and he has a legal line up.

Here is the team and you can see M. Muhammad WR is in the line up and he has a bye this week.

Hey Frank, congrats on your game. I just got back from a week at Ridge Top in Poconos with no laptop (it's on the fritz) and no common use PC's so I couldn't change my Eagles defense out but I must admit that even if I could I think you would have taken the game anyway!! lol
I did even worse in my other leage where I had 3 players with bye's that I couldn't change!! lol

I stand corrected. Having players on a bye week in your lineup will not cause you to have illegal roster. Thank you Len and Walt for clarifying this.

I added the top 2 players from rosters trends and put them in as starters.

I added the top Def. the Bengals and dropped WR Berlin, Eddie from New England.

I added the top Kicker Prater, Matt from Denver and dropped WR Baker, Dallas not active on any NFL roster.

I am going to put up a poll on CBS asking if rosters should only be changed by owners. I think it should be an anonymous vote hence CBS.

We need to let the current poll run until Saturday see post # 225.

Is it too late to reverse those roster moves? I understand why you did that, I have been a commissioner before and I may have done the same thing. Now that we know it would not have been an illegal line-up, I think those changes should be reversed, if possible. Just my two cents...

I guess I don't understand the roster moves you're talking about... I don't even understand the question in the poll??? Hopefully, you can clarify further before you post it.

Thank you for clarifying. Before you post the wording of the poll, I can see at least four different possibilities:

1. Roster adds and drops
2. Lineup enhancements only
3. Both Roster adds/drops and Lineup enhancements
4. No changes at all

The roster adds/drops get tricky, because those moves could directly impact our own roster moves.

I'll save my opinion for the poll!

I think if someone is having life or internet difficulties they should be allowed to ask someone to set their lineup to avoid bye or injured players.

JMHO as someone who realizes that life sometimes gets in the way...
