I think you are right

I also believe it is the right way to keep score in FF. That is the way they keep records in the NFL. You have to reward the positive numbers and take away with negative numbers. You have my vote.

Another Rule to consider for next year is to give Bonus of 5 points when a runner gains more than 100 yards, a receiver gains over 100 receiving, and a QB gains over 250 yards passing.

It adds interest to scoring. When a player get close to these numbers, you have one team owner wanting them to get to the bonus numbers and another not wanting the player to get to the bonus numbers.

Take last night. I played against a team in my other FF league who had Santonio Holmes. He scored 24 points on 131 ReYd, ReTD (34) night.

In our FF league he scored 19.1 points.

If I remember right 2 years ago we decided to have negative point for yardage lost. Does anyone else think we decided to have negative point?

If not we can look at changing the scoring system along with the drafting procedure next year. Before the season ends we will have 2 polls to get input form other team owners.

Also there is a lot of information on the CBS web site for our League. Hit the Home League tab and read the Cover Stories and other information under Week 1.

I know you are short some players for you team in the bye weeks.

Now that we have 14 teams there may not be top players to pick up on waviers. So what you need to do it look for back up runners,QB's or WR's that are projected to be good replacements for the Starters. Injuries are a big part of NFL football. Sometimes you can get a replacement that will become a star when the Starter goes down.

I haven't taken time to look on the cbs site. But, if you need players, you'll have to ask Mike to open the waiver process.

Right now, with waivers closed - you cannot make any changes to what you already have.

Don't go too crazy over FF as it's really just for bragging rights and there's going to be a learning curve the first year. I'm going through that too. If it makes you feel any better, you're playing me in week two and I think I may be challenging you and Lawren for that coveted basement slot.

The waivers process is closed at the start of the first game.

And it remains closed until after all the games are played for that week.

Then, I believe it is open on either Tues or Weds after 12.01 am. Before that time you need to go to the Free Agent Listings and you need to add and drop a player or players.

Remember you need to add and drop players before the Waiver Process begins in order to get your first choice. (If your first choice is still available) It is best to make several choices of players to add with the same player being dropped. Then you will usually get the highest ranked player on your list that is still available. Any adds or drops after your player is dropped will not be made since your player is now not available to drop since you no longer have that player. I hope this makes sense.

Since Beags had the last pick, Beags has the first choice for any free agent. The computer will make the exchange on that day and time. Mike, please tell us the day and time for the Waivers Process.
