Drop/Adds begin after midnight on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. You can queue transactions and players are awarded based on the waiver order. After that process takes place, only players dropped by other teams are affected by the waiver process. It's open season on other players after the Tues/Wed waiver process happens, as soon as you enter the transaction you are awarded the player.

I think when a player is dropped that player is on waivers for 2 days and has to go through the wavier process. After 2 days on the wavier wire the player becomes a free agent. It is not clearly stated that way below (quoted from CBS website) but if my memory is correct that is how it was last year. Can anyone verify this.
Transactions:
• Lineup deadline is 5 minutes before gametime for each player.
• Owners may set lineups.
• Transactions will lock five minutes before the first game on Sunday. Players whose teams play before Sunday will be locked for the remainder of the scoring period.
• Add/drops are handled by a waivers process.
• The waivers process runs on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
• The waiver order resets after each weeks' games.
• Dropped players remain on waivers for at least 2 day(s).
• Trades must be approved by the commissioner.
• No trades can be made after the trade deadline of 11:59 pm et 12/14/09.

• Owners may not make trades during the offseason.

"Can anyone verify this."
That is the way it work in the past. The first Owner on the Wavier List has first chance to get the dropped player after he becomes a free agent. The waiver order will change when a transaction is made. If Beags picks up a free agent, Beags moves down to the bottom of the list. And everyone moves up a space. In the current waiver order if Ex-Ops or any other owner wants a player that no one else wants, they gets that free agent.
The current waiver order:
1. Beags
2. chap7
3. Goose Squad
4. A-Team
5. Doom
6. Dan
7. SACK PACK
8. Purple People Eaters
9. Green and Gold
10. Beach Bums
11. bigfrank
12. Rusty Patriot
13. Pelikens
14. EX-OPS

The waivers will not open until after week 1's games on Wednesday morning. The order will change depending on the current standings at that time. There are two key points in the waiver process - first, Wednesday morning is when all the free agents from the previous week can be picked up (a free agent is any player that is currently not on another team's roster); second, is two days after a player is dropped, that dropped player can be picked up by any another team.
It is complicated to describe. But, pretty easy once you go through it a week or two.

OK guys 10 minutes to game time! Best of luck to you all as you fight it out for second place. Oh by the way, just how big is that first place trophy anyway? I'm clearing out space on my mantle and don't know how much room to leave."A man that doesn't spend time with his family, can never be a real man" The Godfather

Another Rule to consider for next year is to give Bonus of 5 points when a runner gains more than 100 yards, a receiver gains over 100 receiving, and a QB gains over 250 yards passing.
It adds interest to scoring. When a player get close to these numbers, you have one team owner wanting them to get to the bonus numbers and another not wanting the player to get to the bonus numbers.
Take last night. I played against a team in my other FF league who had Santonio Holmes. He scored 24 points on 131 ReYd, ReTD (34) night.
In our FF league he scored 19.1 points.

You need to add and drop players before the Waiver Process begins in order to get your first choice. (If your first choice is still available) It is best to make several choices of players to add with the same player being dropped. Then you will usually get the highest ranked player on your list that is still available. Any adds or drops after your player is dropped will not be made since your player is now not available to drop since you no longer have that player. The first Owner on the Wavier List has first chance to get the dropped player after he becomes a free agent.
