Tiger out at Open

Tiger Woods missed the cut at the Open today, only the second time he's missed a cut at a major (as a pro). Pretty shocking, considering how well he'd been playing this year.

Think he lost out yesterday when he carded a plus 1 in benign conditions.Today was more difficult but he had too much to make up . Anyway ..still the greatest ever !!

He certainly wasn't the only one who struggled. There were some pretty attrocious 2-day scores posted by some very good golfers (Poulter +14, Ogilvy +13, etc.).

At least nobody will be able to claim that XYZ only won because Tiger wasn't there! How many times did we see that said/written/inferred during the time Tiger was out??
As others have said, he was far from being the only person to struggle. Is it significant that this is a course with proper rough rather than grass a couple of inches long if the fairway is missed?
