I cannot wait for this great clash ....but does it mean anything in the US. Will it even be shown?
A bit like the World Series in the rest of the world I guess , which barley gets a mention on TV or in the Press.

Yes, I care. I am a US citizen and huge Arsenal supporter. I watch the majority of their games on television and the ones that are not I follow online. To answer your question yes, the game is televised nationally in the US on ESPN2, in high definition no less. The results are scrolled across the television at the bottom of the ESPN networks. The answer to your other question is no, most people don't even know what the "UEFA" scores mean. There are enough football supporters around that we are not completely in a vacuum, but we do have to seek each other out. Should be an interesting game . GO GUNNERS!

English Premier League soccer is shown on US cable or satellite dish systems that carry the Fox Sports World channel - although tape delayed during the week. Some weekend games are carried live. Soccer is growing in popularity in the US with kids - but the TV coverage is quite slow to catch up. The friendlies that the European premier league teams stage in the US will help build the viewership over time. Unfortunately the US mens world cup team is far behind the womens team in building a contender. Its more of a pretender than a contender at his point.
