DD and I are taking a short trip to Disneyland next month, just two nights three days. We'll squeeze in all we can. After 2 trips to WDW, DD wants to go back to where it all started!

I'm thinking of not renting a car, so I'm looking for a hotel as close walking distance as possible.

I haven't been to DL is about 10 years so I don't remember the hotels much. One year we stayed at the Red Roof Inn, which I don't think even exists. Another time we stayed at the Park Vue Inn.

Anyway, any recommendations would be welcomed!

Best Western Park Place & Sister Hotels near Disneyland Anaheim

My son's friend is the night manager here. I know you can see the fireworks from the property. He has stayed there..although it wasn't for a d-land trip...but another function near by...he thought it was fine...although he's young so balance that with what you want/need.

Whoops...DS's friend is actually at http://www.stovallsinn.com/ Either one looks decent. I didn't look at pricing.

Thanks, this is one of the ones I was looking at, seems pretty close to the park!

Dd and I stayed at the Candy Cane Inn a few years ago. Very convenient. It's on the same side of the street as the entrance to Disneyland. Easy walking and they also have a shuttle.

We like anything on Harbour for walking distance. The Howard Johnson was good but it's at the end so closer is even better. I have also heard good reviews on Candy Cane but it's been pricey when I have checked. We didn't love the Marriott Fairfield as much as HoJo's.

We used to stay at the Sheraton all the time. It has a shuttle. After staying in TS and enjoying bedrooms, kitchens and laundry facilities, I don't know that I could ever go back.

I've heard good things about Residence Inn. I don't know if they offer shuttle service.

Best Western Stovalls has always had nice reviews. It is walking distance and there is a CoCo's next to it which can save big bucks as opposed to eating at many other places around there.

EDIT TO ADD: After looking at the sites, I think Stovalls looks really good. I will definitely stay there when I am not using DVC points for Disneyland.

I know what you are saying, LOL. It is just 16 year old DD and I this time and only two nights. We are going to be spending as much time as possible at the parks so we won't be in the room much.
