When we were in Orlando in March, we looked into Universal and the Disney parks. The DW did most of the research, but she didn't do well on finding discounts. I believe the park was running over $80 per day, so she said it was too expensive.

I have seen a lot more ads on TV recently, but no prices listed. Maybe there are discounts now.

I am more of an "entertain me" person rather than a scary or fast ride person, so I would not be found on roller coasters. I did enjoy the Animal Park at Disney, that is my type of activities, and I am not sure what Universal had, rides or entertainment.

Undercover Tourist, AAA and Orlando Krogers are usually your best bet -- but since the Harry Potter stuff opened, nobody's offering anything too exciting that I've seen. They timed that opening well, I think. All the other theme parks hate them.

Got an amazing deal at Wyndham when we went a couple of Christmases ago. We got five people with a seven day pass at Universal for both parks for $75 each. Also, we went last Christmas and got four five day Disney tickets for $708. Of course we had to go to the owner's update, but it was well worth it! So, if anyone owns at Wyndham it is so worth going to the owner updates.

Check Costco as well, wasn't available in my area (Chicago) a few months back when I was looking, but have heard people talking about Costco occasionally running some good deals on Universal Tickets.

Costco here in DC area is under 150 for 3 or 4 days.

I went and renewed my AAA in Queens. It seems that NY AAA had a better deal than the other AAA offices in other states.
As far as getting Disney tickets the only deal they had was on a 3 day hopper. Keep in mind that when you get a price from AAA it includes all taxes and fees when you get a price from Disney that does not include the taxes or fees.

I waited to long to buy from the other sites that were posted here in the thread. If I had to buy the tickets with next day shipping it would have killed any deal I had using them and most deals are for 3 day hoppers. I had a 1 day hopper left that did not expire. I only needed 3 2 single days since I think MK and Epcot are both full days.

I called Disney for some info and was told that the will call lines are just as bad as the purchase lines in fact some days the will call is longer.

I'll be taking my kids to Universal for the first time next week. How are the park crowds this time of the year? Is it worth it to buy the express pass or rent a room for one night in order to get front of the line access. We'll be buying 3 day park tickets.

If I purchase the tickets online, can I pick them up at the parks?

AAA gives you the best price but you are going to have to go to there office, if you want hold off on the express pass untill you get to the park there are no discounts to pay in advance so if the park is crowded then get them but if your going for 3 days I do not think you will need to.

Thanks, I'll wait until I get there. I'm hoping it won't be too busy.
