Dollywood Mystery Mine - Coming in 2007!

    Mystery Mine™

What if there is no light at the end of the tunnel?
Dollywood’s new Mystery Mine steel coaster where a
1,811-foot track travels through an abandoned coal mine.

Uncertain encounters and amazing maneuvers await,
    including a hair-raising 95-degree, 85-foot vertical drop
that plunges into darkness! That’s just the beginning.

We went there last year and enjoyed it very much. It is hilly, however, and may be difficult for people who cannot walk long distances. It is not full of cement; very pretty, with country music piped in. It's a relaxing amusement park, if there can be such a thing.

I can answer any questions about Dollywood. Been a Gold season pass holder for years. The recent additions of Thunderhead and Mystery Mine appeal to teens and other thrill seekers, while the excellent shows will keep the older folks entertained. And there is plenty for the smaller kids to do as well. It's really a great park, and one of the best in the country for all ages.

We were there last year with 2 teens 13 +15 who found plenty to keep themselves entertained.
We were there during their International Festival (April) and the shows were fabulous, so there was plenty to do for the non thrill ride seekers (me and DH) as well.

We both noticed/commented on the great numbers of older people (60+) in the park, unlike, say a 6 Flags closer to home; possibly had to do with the Int'l Festival drawing them at that time.

We were just there last week...got the tickets as the result of a timeshare presentation (a good story here!). Anyway, we were surprised at how much we enjoyed Dollywood. The shows were very good, there was a very good mix of folks of all ages, something for everyone. We would definitely go again. If you go, consider parking your car in the FunTime trolley lot and riding for .50 per person vs parking for $7.
