I figure the $40-$50 I paid for the meal more than makes up for the parking they wanna charge me.Timeshareforums Shirts and Mugs on sale now! http://www.cafepress.com/ts4ms

Originally posted by bigfrankThe resort we are staying at has a free airport shuttle. I have never used this service in the past should I start. If we were to start at Animal Kingdom is it easy to park hop from there
AKV have very long hallways and if you get stuck at the end of the resort then it's much nicer to have a car because the parking is under the rooms and you just take the elevator down to the basement level to your car and you're off. If you're gonna rely on Disney transport then you'll want to ask for a room near the lobby.

From there I find the buses no big deal but if you are renting a car and staying onsite then you don't pay for parking anywhere unless you use the valet service. If you have a handicap emblem then valet is free.

Are you staying in the Houses at Summer Bay? They look pretty cool but Summer Bay is soooooo far from Disney that I haven't been able to convince myself of the exchange just yet. Maybe you can give us a trip report and convince me otherwise.

Originally posted by chriskreGotta be honest. I don't park hop anymore unless it's just for dinner at Epcot but I just can't do park commando style anymore. I know there are tons of buses but it does take time to park hop so you'll need to get to the parks early if you're gonna get any value out of park hopping.

Summer Bay is not that far from Disney. We stayed there in a 3br in 2005 and it was nice enough to consider again. Of course we were right across from the pool/activity center so it was a nice location in the resort.

Depends on you. The newer sections are closer to the main road and they might also have a nearby pool.
