  • Sesame Place - Pennsylvania - review

Just returned from an extended weekend with our 2YO DD. Our first day in the park was on Friday the 13th. It was just awful. Crowded, dirty, understaffed, 45 minute wait for a bottle of water, only 2 counter service places available to eat and I never ate buffet scrambled eggs as bad as I had there that morning. We weren't going back the next day....our thought was it could of only been worse on a weekend. BUT, our tickets were paid for, we had dinner resservations so we sucked it up.

SO GLAD WE DID - I would have wrote that place off in a heartbeat, but Saturday was completely a different day. Crowds were gone, staff was up, park was clean, long lines were non existant. Liked it enough that we decided to go back on Sunday.

In the end....this is a great place to take your preschooler. Everything there from the rides to the water areas are simply created for the munchkins of the world.

I couldn't find an II resort in that area - so we stayed at a Marriot Courtyard about a mile away. Typical courtyard - clean and tidy - with no frills.

It is interesting to hear of your experiences. We are 15 minutes from the park and go about once a week. We love it, but have learned when the best times are to go. You may have hit the school groups that come in during the day in June. We avoid those times. It's a little crazy. It really makes a difference when you go. Evenings and weekends in May/June are great, our favorite times of the year. Glad to hear you enjoyed the weekend.
