  • Waterparks...

    Is anyone a waterpark guru?

I am here in Ohio and my family LOVES the Kalahari waterpark in Sandusky, OH. We go every year (going this Saturday - yeah!!)

We are hoping to take a family timeshare vacation in 2009 outside of Ohio (to somewhere in the eastern/midwestern part of the country)

What timeshares have the best local waterparks available? Are there any timeshares that include admission costs to the waterpark?

    TIA

Water Country is the best! Great pools and "rides," very very clean, and fantastic safety program.

There is one in NJ - Minerals? - that has a nice water park nearby. It was called Action Park in the old ages. When we went a few years ago it was called Mountain Creek. The rides were really fast.

I forgot about that one and I was just there to drop off my son for a weekend trip. I thought the water park had closed.

I know it's not in the midwest, but if you are ever in the Denver area, a trip to WaterWorld is well worth your time -- America's largest water park. Very family-friendly as well, with free parking and they allow you to bring in coolers, food, drink, etc. so you don't have to spend a fortune at the park.

To add to Jericap's list, there is a second in Minneapolis, Grand Rios water park.

There are several water parks in the Wis. Dells area-'Water park capital of the world'. Not sure of restrictions or requirements, if you have to stay at the resort/hotel to use, etc.

I just came back from Wet n Wild Greensboro today. We bought a season pass for $54. I didn't want to but Kelli, Kristi & Brittiny wants me to tag along. This used to be called Emerald Point before W & W bought it. All I can do is the wave pool and the lazy river as it's really hard for me to go up stairs. Oh well, I've started on my tan!! (Tan fat looks better than white fat)

I am not a fan of water parks. I've been injured 3 times. Arm ripped out of joint, face busted, black eye. I sucessfully sued W&W in Las Vegas. They paid for the hospital bills but still wouldn't admit they were at fault.

This is great information!! I didn't realize there were so many waterparks around.

Good news on the Williamsburg waterpark - that was one of our possible destinations...so was the Dells.

I'm sure we will have a great time where ever we end up. Thanks again.

I am going to Myrtle beach in late August with kids. Is there any water park in myrtle beach area? How about any other amusement parks for the kids?
