If you stay in the Poconos, there are Camel Beach and Dorney Park. I haven't been to either one in years, sorry I can't give any reviews. I remember Camel Beach as pretty big (not like the giant ones!), with a lot of good slides, but I had small kids then so we were probably only getting wet up to our ankles.

Yes there is a water park in MB but not a huge one. Don't forget the new Hard Rock Amusement Park (not a water park) but should be fun. shaggy

Dont forget Massanutten. Water park admission not included but great if you can get in during the summer lots of fun (Indoor Only Rest of year). Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Texas If you have RCI points you can pretty easily book The Summit Vacation Resort Tree Top Villas#4043 in Canyon Lake, TX 10 Months Out. Schlitterbahn Looks awesome and is on my short list of places to visit (Also 45 Minutes to San Antonio). Smuggs also has a waterpark have not been there but have heard great things.

Anything near Niagara Falls, Buffalo, or Toronto? Doesn't have to be big or fancy for us, we're easily amused. Has anyone ever gone to Marineland, Darien Lake, or Canada's Wonderland? I think some of these have waterpark areas.

Alas, for Great Wolf Lodge you have to stay at Great Wolf Lodge (really expensive!) and I read reviews on the other one at tripadvisor a while back...no one was too impressed by the hotel part. I have to see if you can buy a day pass. Thanks!

We too are waterpark lovers - but I prefer the "take it easy" kind of rides - so I'm more than happy with the medium to low thrills of the Sesame Place rides. If I were looking into the midwest, I would check out the Dells for sure. The Wyndham resort includes passes to a few indoor and outdoor Wilderness waterparks with the room. These are full-scale parks. I don't know of any other timeshare that does that as of now (though feel free to enlighten me!) Only downside - you have to be an owner of Wyndham points or rent from someone who is - I don't believe there has ever been a sighting in RCI. I've also heard that Wilderness is doing another project with Wyndham in the Smoky Mountains - this is good news!

Doesn't Westgate have an indoor waterpark with their resort in the Smoky Mountains? I think this is what I've heard.

We were able to tour Westgate Resort & visit their new indoor water park
last Summer - when we spent 2 weeks in The Beautiful Smoky Mountains.

According to the latest Travel Channel film being shown on TV that was made in 2005 of the 10 top water park areas. I am surprised that no one has mentioned this film about water parks.

I recognize a lot of the names already mentioned in this string.

The top rating for a water park area was the Wisconsin Dells with 32 water parks in 2005.

Noah’s Ark claims to be the biggest outdoor water park in the US and one of the Dells huge indoor water parks claims to be the biggest indoor water park.

Some of the existing water-amusement parks have expanded in the last year or two.

If you go to Wisconsin Dells (WI): Official Website of the Visitor & Convention Bureau you will get a idea from some of the websites of the size and scope of these various water parks.

Noah's Ark is continually evolving, offering the most variety of water rides anywhere in the nation. This summer is no exception with the introduction of Noah's 4D Dive-In Theater, featuring the SpongeBob SquarePants™ 4D Movie.

I couldn't believe I made it to the bottom of this thread before seeing Wisconsin Dells! Check it out, they have water slides galore! On top of that, Odyssey Dells is actually connected by a skywalk to Mt Olympus Water and Theme park, we just got back from there. The room comes with 4 wristbands which give you access to that park for the duration of your stay! The whole family had a blast, we spent 4 full days at that park alone.

                                Westgate Water Park

Westgate does operate a water park. It is an indoor and outdoor water park called Wildbear Falls. It is located at the Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
