If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

I would like to say that many years ago, We were there for the 4th, Trying to leave the park was the worst experience we ever had there, No matter how you went it was a total nightmare. The staff could not help in any way, there was pushing and shoving and everyone was just pinned next to each other like we were in a can. I do not know if it is any better now but we learned our lesson. Do not go if all the parks let out at the same time because of the show. If they would have kept the park open an extra 2 or 3 hours after the show that would have helped.

          Frank,

Sounds horrific. The best thing to do in those situations is to leave early, or find a spot to hang out, and wait for the crowd to thin. I've done that once, or twice. It helped, but still wasn't great. Also, it wasn't 4th of July.

This is a little late for 2008. However for those of you going in 2009, or for other busy times, my family has found a way around some of the crowds. We try to scout a location outside the main gates and watch the fireworks from there. You don't see every single one, and you miss the music, but it still left us with the same sense of excitement, and we didn't have to fight the crowds to get out. I've also heard that others try to get a window seat at the restaurant in the Contemporary. Great viewing from there!
