  • Airboat Rides near Orlando?

We are traveling to Orlando for two weeks in August. In addition to the normal attractions, my daughter wants to go on an Airboat Tour Ride.

Any recommendations on an Airboat Ride provider in the Kissimmee/Lake Buena Vista area?

Should I be on the look out for coupons?

    Thanks

I would be skeptical of the ones too near Orlando/Kissimmee, like in the 192 area, as they are touristy and not real air boat adventures.

I suggest you look for one in the direction of the right coast, the marshy area over that way. What is that . . . part of the St. Johns River?

It is not unlike Everglades City, with some legitimate adventures and some make believe wanna bes resorting to such tricks as raccoons chained to trees for their wildlife sightings.

I went to one recently (spring) and it was about an hour away from Orlando. It was very good. Saw all kinds of gators, even some babies. Had a great time and wouldn't hesitate going back. Let me look through my old charge receipts and come back with the name.

Here is a link for a local spot that isn't too touristy.. Also, this lake has the highest concentration of gators in Florida- so you'll get to see a bunch of wildlife.. The restaurant onsite is pretty good too..

Thanks, the one on Lake Jesup looks great.

According to MapQuest it is only 35 miles from Cypress Pointe.

I couldn't find any charges on my past statements. I asked my husband, he said we paid cash and he can't remember the name either. Sorry about that..
