T-Rex Opens at Disney World

The new T-Rex: A Prehistoric Family Adventure Restaurant at Downtown Disney is now open.

It is a dining experience built around water, fire and ice. You are greeted with life-size animatronic dinosaurs among cascading waterfalls, bubbling geysers, and a fossil dig site.

It is run by the same group that owns the Rainforest Café.

Let's hope the food is not pre-historic and we know the cost will be current and on the high side.

Thanks for the post. My family is headed to Orlando in July 2009. Don't know if we'll get there, but it will be a consideration. If anyone visits, please send comments. I'm sure it will be pricey, but I'd like to know how the service was and the quality of the food.

My son loved it! Don't go if you aren't fond of kids and noise!
