I know that, in New York, it went from 18 to 19 in early December of 1982, nine days after I turned 18 and with no grandfather clause. That was fun.

And then, when I was 19, the drinking age in New York went from 19 to 21, again with no grandfather clause.

It's all making sense now. I thought that was a really weird rule about needing to be over 21 to book a timeshare; so you are not considered adult until 21?

Which makes you my younger sister's age and probably born in October as well.

No, you're still considered an adult over 18. It's really only drinking where legally you need to be over 21. The companies are the ones that are deciding that you need to be over 21 to rent a car or a timeshare or whatever.

So, just because I drink white zin I'm low class? I don't like full bodied wines because thay are way too dry for me. I like the sweet stuff. I really like lambrusco so that probably moves me down another notch.

Not much of a drinker that's why I like White Zin. Feel like a grown up. (Oh, yes at my age I really should be a grown up.)

Once upon a time, the zin crop was not as big as it had been and the winemaker pulled out some of the juice to give a higher skin to juice contact making the wine bigger. Now he was left with all that juice. He fermented it, bottled it and sold it. And people liked it, so he and other wineries made and sold it.

                Bottom line-drink what you like.

And for me, I can't find a blush or Rose that I do like, even what is supposed to be the 'better wines'. I like big thick wines. If I don't get purple teeth, I am not happy with the wine.

Tell them to go to Canada.

The legal drinking age in the individual provinces and territories of Canada is

                  Alberta - 18
                  British Columbia - 19
                  Manitoba - 18
                  New Brunswick - 19
                  Newfoundland and Labrador - 19
                  Northwest Territories - 19
                  Nova Scotia - 19
                  Nunavut - 19
                  Ontario - 19
                  Prince Edward Island - 19
                  Quebec - 18
                  Saksatchewan - 19
                  Yukon Territory - 19

Maybe it was a Prosecco? It's a dry Italian sparkling white wine. It's what they use for Bellini's, but I love it solo chilled in the summer.

You can find it in all price ranges.

I bet you're right! Like Pinot Grigio, it starts with a P, ends with an O, and it's Italian...

Hmmm - given that info it might have been Prosciutto.
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

                          “You shouldn't wear that body.”

If your prosciutto is bubbling, it's probably time to toss it...

Maria...you were right! It was a Preseco. I'm so wine challenged...lol... (But I do know, at least, that you don't drink prosciutto!)

                                Thanks everyone!
