The current offer at wine.woot: Pacific Wine Works Mendocino County Gewürztraminer 4-Pack by Meeker: $24.99 + $5 shipping. Note that shipping is the same $5 no matter how many cases you buy.
If you feel venturesome you might consider this. Meeker Vineyards is a pretty solid and reliable producer in the California North Coast area. I've bought several of their woot offerings before and have been quite pleased. As far as I can determine this is their first ever Gewürz. If this is up to their usual standards this is a screaming great deal. But there's no track history on this varietal and almost no information other than what is already posted at the wine.woot site. Which might be the reason why it's at this price.
I bought two packs (8 bottles), based on my previous good experience with Meeker and my overall general confidence in Dave Studman's screening of the wines offered at wine.woot. (I've never had anything from them that I thought was plonk, though I have had several orders that I ended up giving away because it wasn't my style, such as some creamy oak-bomb chardonnays).
I figure at worst it's probably to be on a par with some of the decent bulk-produced Washington gewürzes that I can get at the grocery store for about $6 to $8/bottle (less on sale), and there's a very good chance it's going to be better than that. Plus DW likes gewürz and isn't that picky so I'm pretty sure it will be enjoyed.
