  • KJ (Kendall-Jackson) winery on Undercover Boss.

I received the following email that I felt was worth sharing:

We have some very exciting news to share: Kendall-Jackson® will be featured on the two-time Emmy Award nominated reality series Undercover Boss!

Tune in to CBS on Sunday, Jan. 29, (from 8-9 p.m. ET/PT — check your local listings) to watch our president, Rick Tigner, as he dons a disguise and goes undercover to explore all aspects of handcrafted winemaking, from vineyard to bottle and everything in between. We bet you'll laugh. And there's a good chance you may even tear up a little, as Rick recalls our late founder, Jess Stonestreet Jackson, and the legacy and passion he left behind.

So mark your calendars, and join us as we celebrate our TV debut! And keep an eye on your inbox — as our air date gets closer, we'll unveil special "undercover offers" on our wines to help you plan your viewing party.

    Cheers!
    Your Friends at Kendall-Jackson

    Cool.

I've never watched the show but now there are two coming up for me to Tivo.

KJ was among the first big successes in California chardonnay as I recall. At least in terms of Northeast popularity.

    Thanks, and keep us posted!

Ok, this episode isn't listed on Tivo yet but I'm set to record the first episode of the season (DRI) and check it out before getting a "season pass."

I wish they would have shown more from the wineries. I would have liked to see how he would have been with the main facility. It is likely they wouldn't allow cameras in there other than to get the the 'B Roll' shot they had of the fork lift and a few barrels.

The one winery that had the mobile bottling line may have been Jess Jackson's daughter's (Jennifer) winery, but they didn't bottle K-J Vintners Reserve when we where there. I can't remember the name of the winery. Either too much wine or too much time has passed since visiting it years ago. They had a mobile bottling trailer in operation when we were there.

They didn't show the main K-J tasting room. That is a really nice place with a wonderful aroma garden that matches with some of the wine characteristics and aroma profiles.

Kind of surprised that the one gal who had done a good job in the tasting room and had been made full time with a raise and medical added it, soon left the position.

Other than that, it was an okay show and typical to the normal show setup.
